00:00What am I supposed to do?
00:04Blend in.
00:05Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most romantic, heartwarming,
00:11or downright fun moments between the savior of Storybrooke and the swashbuckling pirate.
00:16A spoiler alert is in effect.
00:18Perhaps gratitude isn't more than now.
00:23Yeah.
00:25Number 10. Passing the True Love Test
00:28The instructions couldn't be in English?
00:30Only a heart filled with true love can pass.
00:34Seriously?
00:35You'd be surprised what they teach you in the Royal Navy.
00:37In order to open a magical door to escape from Hades,
00:41Emma has to place her heart on a scale to measure her true love for Killian Jones, a.k.a. Hook.
00:47It turns out, that's just the first part of the test, though,
00:50as after she does this, she starts experiencing a magical heart attack while the captain bursts into flames.
00:58Killian!
01:00Get your heart!
01:01Faced with the chance to save herself by reinserting her heart,
01:05Emma instead uses what could have been her dying moments to save her beloved,
01:09passing the test and allowing them both to escape.
01:12If our choices in times of crisis define us,
01:15then this one proved the depth of Ms. Swan's devotion to Jones.
01:19It's true love.
01:23Emma, you chose me.
01:26That was the test.
01:33Shortly after our previous entry,
01:35Emma and Hook discover a portal that leads from the Underworld to Storybrooke.
01:40However, Jones reveals that he'd only come with Emma this far to save her,
01:45and that he can't return with her.
01:47You said...
01:48It's the only way I could get you to leave that chamber.
01:51No.
01:52Killian, I came to the Underworld to save you.
01:54I'm not going back without you.
01:55I'm afraid we don't have that choice, love.
01:57He implores that she go on without him.
01:59This feels impossible for Emma,
02:01who has already grieved every other man she's ever loved.
02:04Understanding this, Hook's devastating request that she remain open to future happiness
02:09shows that he values her well-being more than his ego.
02:13Just promise me one thing.
02:15If I have to take off that armor,
02:17don't put it back on just because you're gonna lose me.
02:25I promise.
02:28Their emotional kiss through the gate drives their pain home even more.
02:32His death doesn't last long,
02:34as he's soon revived by Zeus as a thanks for helping to stop Hades.
02:38But this scene proves the depth of their love.
02:41I don't care. I don't care how you're here. I'm just glad you're here.
02:45So are you.
02:47Stop. You're alright.
02:49Number 8. Hook in the hospital
02:51Not again. You're really into this, aren't you?
02:57Damn, that hurts.
02:58Hook wakes up in a hospital bed after failing to kill his arch-enemy, Mr. Gold,
03:02and being hit by a car, only to be questioned by Emma,
03:06who, in addition to being the town's savior,
03:08happens to be the sheriff of Storybrooke.
03:10Where's Korra?
03:12You look good, I must say.
03:13Or, where's Korra, in a commanding voice? Chills?
03:17You have all sorts of sore places I can make you hurt.
03:19While they're not yet an item at this point in the series,
03:22Jones maintains his characteristic swagger,
03:25even when he's suffering immense amounts of pain,
03:28and also manages to show off his more human side.
03:31His flirtatiousness, clashing with Sheriff Swann's no-nonsense interrogation,
03:36perfectly represents the pair's early relationship dynamic.
03:39My hook. May I have it back?
03:42Or is there another attachment you prefer?
03:45You're awfully chipper for a guy who just failed to kill his enemy,
03:48then got hit by a car.
03:49Well, my roots may be broken, but everything else is still intact.
03:54Number 7. Emma tells the truth about her fears.
03:57Swann, don't make a man drink alone.
03:59I'm not in the mood for a drink or a man.
04:01Emma avoids Hook for much of the show's Snow Queen saga,
04:05and he's had enough of the cold shoulder in this scene.
04:08I know you feel like you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders,
04:10but at some point, even though we're quite different, you've gotta trust me.
04:14That's what you think this is about, that I don't trust you?
04:16Confronting her about her chilly attitude towards him,
04:19Jones learns the true reason for Swann being distant, his own safety.
04:24Emma tearfully confesses that she's been keeping him at bay
04:27because every man she's ever loved has died.
04:30I can't lose you, too.
04:34My love, you don't have to worry about me.
04:38There's one thing I'm good at.
04:42Surviving.
04:43His response is the perfect blend of his trademark machismo
04:47and a tender reassurance that while her feelings are valid,
04:51he won't be going anywhere.
04:53Number 6. Wedding
04:55You did it, Swann. You got your happy ending.
04:59That's not what this is. It's something else.
05:03What then?
05:05A happy beginning.
05:07Of course their wedding was going to make the list.
05:09After five seasons of flirting, separation, adventure and mischief,
05:14Emma and Hook finally tie the knot in front of all their family and friends
05:18in this sixth season musical episode.
05:21Jones choking back tears as he gets his first look at his beloved coming down the aisle
05:25tells us he recognizes how unbelievably lucky he is.
05:29You showed me that a heart full of love was the most precious treasure of all.
05:36The one that I don't intend to lose.
05:39Their vows are heartfelt, reflecting their personal journeys and what they mean to one another.
05:44Sure, the ceremony gets interrupted by a curse from the Black Fairy,
05:48but that doesn't make the celebration of their love less magical.
05:51Where do you think it's taking us?
05:53It doesn't matter.
05:54Wherever we end up, we're going to win.
05:57Number 5. Goodbye
06:00Happy endings aren't always what we think they will be.
06:03Look around you.
06:05You've touched the lives of everyone here.
06:08The curse is enveloping all of Storybrooke,
06:10and the only way to save everyone is for former evil Queen Regina
06:14to send the residents back where they came from.
06:17For most, that means returning to the fairytale land of the Enchanted Forest.
06:21And once again, you can escape it.
06:27I don't want to.
06:28We'll both go back with everyone.
06:30That's not an option.
06:32Since Emma and her son Henry will have to return home to New York instead,
06:36they'll be separated from her parents, her friends, and even Hook.
06:40What makes it even worse is that by crossing Storybrooke's magic town line,
06:44the two will lose all memory of them as well.
06:47There's not a day will go by I won't think of you.
06:50Good.
06:51Hook's tender reassurance is romantic,
06:53but her simple reply shows us that after a life of pushing people away,
06:57she finally believes she's worthy of love.
07:01First Kiss
07:02Please.
07:04He couldn't handle it.
07:06Perhaps you're the one who couldn't handle it.
07:08While our heroes are on a quest to Neverland to rescue Henry from an evil Peter Pan,
07:13long story,
07:14Hook takes Emma's father David, a.k.a. Prince Charming,
07:17on a little side quest to find a magical sextant.
07:21Turns out, this former pirate still has some trickery up his sleeve,
07:25as Hook actually leads David to a cure for the poison that's about to kill him.
07:29You knew I wouldn't come on my own.
07:31That I wouldn't leave my family.
07:32You were stubborn, yes.
07:33I gathered that rod quickly.
07:35Realizing what Hook has done for her family,
07:37Emma plants a big one on him.
07:39The first kiss is a major moment in any relationship,
07:42and the heartwarming circumstances around Emma and Hook's first locking of the lips
07:47show that their relationship is built on positivity and mutual support.
07:51Don't follow me.
07:52Wait five minutes.
07:53Go get some firewood or something.
07:55As you wish.
07:58Number three.
07:59Emma is Hook's happy ending.
08:01Happily Ever After is a fairy tale staple,
08:04but it's usually only afforded to the heroes.
08:07With all this talk of authors and the book,
08:11we've never discussed one fact.
08:16I was a villain.
08:17In this bittersweet scene,
08:18Hook confides to Emma that he's afraid of losing his happy ending
08:22since they've recently discovered that villains,
08:24even former ones, don't get them.
08:27Of course, Hook's concern is somewhat surprising to Emma.
08:30Wait, if you're afraid of losing your happy ending,
08:33that means you found it.
08:37What is it?
08:40Don't you know, Emma?
08:44It's you.
08:45This rare show of vulnerability on Cillian Jota's part
08:48and the passionate kiss that follows
08:50cements just how important she is to him.
08:53Maybe bad guys deserve good things once in a while after all.
08:56You have no idea how easy it is to fall back into the darkness.
09:00Whatever mistakes you made with Ursula, you fixed.
09:04Number two.
09:05When I Win Your Heart.
09:06Here, use this.
09:09It's my colors.
09:11You finally gave?
09:12No, actually, Hook gave it to me.
09:14Since when are you sentimental?
09:16I thought Emma would wish to have something to remember you by.
09:19Oh, thanks. She's got me now.
09:22What was that about?
09:23During the search for Henry,
09:24Hook discovers that Neil, Emma's former lover,
09:27is alive and being held captive by Peter Pan.
09:30He could have been a dastardly pirate about it.
09:33But after they rescue Neil,
09:34he explains why he instead shared the information,
09:37even though it puts him at a certain disadvantage.
09:40It was a test.
09:41He wanted to see if I'd leave an old friend to die,
09:44even if the old friend happens to be vying for the same woman I am.
09:49And you chose your friend.
09:51Is that surprising?
09:52The reason?
09:53He wants to earn Emma's love
09:55instead of falling back into his old habits
09:57and getting what he wants by cunning and deceit.
10:00His respect for Emma's personal autonomy and decision-making,
10:03even if he may not like the outcome,
10:05makes this moment worthy of love.
10:07So when I win your heart, Emma,
10:11and I will win it,
10:13it will not be because of any trickery.
10:16It will be because you want me.
10:18Before we unveil our top pick,
10:20here are a few honorable mentions.
10:27Are you saying you know how to do whatever this is?
10:32It's called a waltz.
10:35There's only one rule.
10:39Pick a partner who knows what he's doing.
10:42High romance is one thing,
10:44but goofy breakfast shenanigans
10:46are the real sign of true love.
10:48Something smells delicious.
10:50It's just from a box.
10:51I'm not talking about the pancakes.
10:53Bandaging Emma's wound,
10:55Hook shows his tender side on their first adventure together.
10:58Here's the plan.
11:00Wait for the giant to fall asleep.
11:03When he does,
11:04we'll sneak past him into his cave.
11:07It's where the treasures are.
11:09Where the compass lies.
11:14And then?
11:15The second proposal.
11:16Hook promises to stand by Emma
11:18wherever her turbulent life takes her.
11:21Swan,
11:23I know
11:25that you face an uncertain future,
11:27but there's one thing I want you to be certain of.
11:32That I will always, always be by your side.
11:35Emma seduces past Hook.
11:37After Emma seduces young Hook to get back home,
11:40modern Hook decks him for mistreating her.
11:43Are you kidding me?
11:44How is that not gonna have consequences?
11:46He was asking for it.
11:47And like I said,
11:48he blamed the rum.
11:49Let's get out of here.

12:10How did you get to me?
12:12Well, the curse was coming.
12:13I ditched my crew
12:14and took the Jolly Rogers fast
12:15and as far as I possibly could to outrun it.
12:18You outran a curse?
12:19I'm the harbor captain.
12:20What's the most important thing to a pirate?
12:22Their ship, right?
12:23Well, not anymore for Captain Hook.
12:25All I needed was a magic beam.
12:27Those are not easy to come by.
12:29They are if you've got something of value to trade.
12:32When Emma questions how Jones came to find her in New York
12:35after they were separated,
12:36he tells her he was able to evade the curse.
12:39Once he got far enough away,
12:40it was just a matter of trading his beloved Jolly Roger
12:43for a magic beam to travel back to her world.
12:46You traded your ship for me?
12:51Aye.
12:52The fact that he gave up his most prized possession,
12:54which he's sailed for hundreds of years
12:56to be reunited with Emma,
12:58means he's finally found a greater love.
