00:00Because of their desire to help their colleagues in the entertainment and media industry,
00:06they thought of Alex C and his friend-turned-business partner
00:11to build their own multimedia studio business.
00:15Let's get to know their business story here in Negosya Tayo.
00:25When my friend and I talked about becoming business partners,
00:29we wanted to build an unusual studio, something special,
00:34something that would set us apart from other studios.
00:37My business partner and I thought that we've been in this industry for a long time,
00:42in posting, content creation, photography, and filmmaking.
00:46So we thought, why don't we put something up, like a business like this,
00:50to help our peers if you don't have the space or if you don't have the equipment.
00:56Actually, before, I was in sales.
00:59I've been in sales for almost 10 years.
01:02He's been in a lot of jobs.
01:05He has a family business, so he's on the finance side.
01:10I'm in sales.
01:11I'm also a professional host.
01:14I used to be a radio DJ.
01:17And I do voice-over for commercials.
01:20Until now, I still do it while I'm running my business with my business partner.
01:26There was a calling.
01:28And I think both sides, myself and my business partner,
01:32we really grew up that there is a business in the family.
01:36That's what we're used to in business.
01:39And I think we wanted something to call our own.
01:42Something that's not our parents' or our family's.
01:45Something that's from scratch and something that we love doing.
01:49We opened about almost 3 years ago.
01:52Of course, at first, you have to find a client.
01:56You have to put in effort in marketing and promotions.
02:02And then, little by little, it gets stronger.
02:06And then, I think the real battle is, of course, maintaining the business until today.
02:10But, good to say, things are doing well.
02:13And the studio is getting to know each other.
02:16The edge, I have to say, is us.
02:18The people behind the studio.
02:20Because anyone can put up a space.
02:22But I really think it's the people you meet here in our space
02:25who make you feel welcomed, who make you feel comfortable,
02:28and who are able to give you a commitment that we will deliver on our promise.
02:33One of the most significant things that changed in my life
02:36is that I saw my son grow up.
02:38Because unlike when I was an employee,
02:42of course, my time is held by the company.
02:45That's how it is.
02:47But when I decided to open a business,
02:49I was able to see my son.
02:51I was able to take him to school.
02:54So, the infirm school.
02:55So, I see him almost every day.
02:57We talk.
02:58And I think also in terms of handling a business,
03:01you learn also how to manage people.
03:03And also how to, I wouldn't say manage clients,
03:06but how to talk to different kinds of people from all walks of life
03:09who enter our studio and avail of our services.
03:12I think you need to be strong-willed and trust yourself.
03:17If you can't do it alone,
03:19look for someone you can trust.
03:23Someone you can trust.
03:24I think one of the most important advice I have to give is
03:28to love your business.
03:31Because if you don't put in the effort and time and love,
03:35it won't last long.
03:40For those who are dreaming of starting a business,
03:42my advice is it's never too late
03:44and now is always the best time.
03:46So, let's go!
03:47Let's start a business!
