Akari stops 3-game skid in PVL All-Filipino  conference, beats Chery  The Akari Chargers end a 3-game skid at the expense of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers 22-25, 26-24, 25-18, 25-20, in the 2024-25 Premiere Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena on Dec. 10, 2024. Grethcel Soltones poured in 22 points on 20 attacks, one block, and one ace to lead the Chargers. Akari improved to  3-3, while Chery dropped to 3-2. 00:13How do you feel about Akari's performance tonight?

00:18I'm just appreciative of the player, because I think for the player also,

00:22it's really moral or something getting down because we lose in 9th set. It's a normal reaction for the player and the coaches.

00:30But as a resizer, we really got to win this game and that's a good thing.

00:37We can throw in a training for more in the future.

00:47What can you say about her performance, especially after a slow start?

00:52My mindset is that I know my role, that I just need to receive and defend well.

01:10But my role in the team is to be a good first one and defend well.

01:25I'm just happy with the team's performance today.

01:27Because as I mentioned earlier, we came from a 3-game losing streak.

01:31So, this is a good test for the team because we overcame the fear of coming to the...

01:39You know, just losing. So, I'm proud of the team as a whole because they overcame their fear of losing again

01:46despite the fact that we lost the first set.

01:48We were able to win the three more sets.

01:50So, overall, I'm just very happy because the team showed their maturity and their willingness and eagerness to win.

02:03For Coach, during the 3-game losing streak where you didn't win a set,

02:10was there frustration for you personally after a strong start to the conference?

02:15Or was it really more on getting the team back on track and not let emotions get the better of you?

02:25Actually, the creamerunning of Petrovas.

02:27You know, even Pumplish, they're a strong team.

02:29For the set, like on the creamerunning, we had 26-24, we lost.

02:34And then also, Pumplish, we lead in 19-11.

02:41Petrovas also, we were able to get our last point.

02:44In the first and second set, we were just missing our finisher in the team.

02:49And in the first and second set, we finished.

02:53And then, this kind of doesn't have any confidence.

02:56So, this is our challenge.

02:59Also, what happened during this first match, we were leading a lot.

03:04But on the crucial point, we started to make errors.

03:07I almost went into a trauma.
