00:00Overcome with gratitude and relief, Princess Kate and Prince William are embracing

00:04the spirit of Christmas more than ever this year in this week's cover story.

00:08This season stands to be even more special for the Prince and Princess of Wales

00:11after an extremely tough 2024, which saw both Kate and William's father,

00:16King Charles, battle cancer. Royal expert Sharon Carpenter tells us,

00:20"...Kate is genuinely looking forward to joining the Royal Family at Sangerham

00:24for Christmas. The holidays will no doubt be a chance for the entire family to give thanks."

00:29And Kate's always been a massive fan of the holidays, but she's even more appreciative

00:33of all the special moments after everything she's been through, with Carpenter telling us,

00:37"...one of the highlights for Kate will no doubt be watching George, Charlotte and Louis

00:41revel in the magic of Christmas."

00:43And the Royal Family will stick with the tradition of exchanging gifts,

00:46church on Christmas and listening to the King's speech, which Carpenter says

00:50will see the King adding some modern touches.

00:53And of course, Kate has drawn strength from her father-in-law.

00:56She shares an extra-special bond with Charles after they've both faced

00:59such similar health battles at the same time. They've been there for each other.

01:03And Kate will enter the new year with cautious optimism, with Carpenter adding,

01:07"...Kate is still taking things slowly during her ongoing recovery period,

01:12but it must feel wonderful to get back to doing what she loves, work-wise and family-wise."
