00:00Manila Water and Maynilad will implement an additional payment from January of next year that could reach more than P100 per bill of consumers.

00:44Metropolitan Water Works and Sewerage System Regulatory Office has already approved a P5.95 tariff adjustment for Manila Water in the first quarter of 2025.

00:57This means that the bill of consumers will increase from P24 to P111, using 10 to 30 cubic meters per month.

01:07The increase in Manila's sewage bill will be P7.32.

01:12This means that the increase will be P11 to P155, using 10 to 30 cubic meters per month.

01:22According to MWSS, capital expenditure has increased in order to improve their services.

01:31The expansion of sewage coverage is also included in the fund's allocation.

01:35It will clean up a lot of water from industries and households before it goes out to the rivers,

01:41where the concessionaires get the water that is under treatment and supplied to their customers.

01:49They spent P32 billion for Manila Water and P47 billion for Manila.

01:57They spent it to ensure that there will be no water crisis or severe water interruptions in their concession areas.
