00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays and today we're taking a look at the 10 best characters to play as
00:10in Marvel Rivals.
00:17Before we begin we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to Mojo
00:21Plays and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:26Hawkeye
00:27Admittedly, we haven't seen too many Hawkeye players on the servers, but for the few we
00:37have come across, Hawkeye has established himself as a top tier character.
00:41Not only does he have three different ranged attacks that let him dish out damage from
00:45afar, he also comes with a passive ability that increases the amount of damage his shot
00:50inflicts the longer he focuses his aim on an enemy.
00:54On top of that, his ultimate ability lets him shoot a little more recklessly than you
00:58can when in normal play.
01:00Just those two powers alone can make Hawkeye an obnoxious foe.
01:07Iron Fist
01:13Whereas Hawkeye can be annoying in just how accurate and lethal he can be from afar, Iron
01:19Fist is a different kind of annoying.
01:21He's the kind that forces you to focus all of your attention on him as he gets up in
01:26your business.
01:27Dude is playing Street Fighter in a hero shooter, and it actually works in his favor.
01:32Every one of Iron Fist's moves can inflict a ton of damage, and his Harmony recovery
01:37allows him to heal a good amount of health in just a few short seconds.
01:41Basically, if you let him out of your sight for too long, he can pop back up for further
01:45irritation as if your previous fight with him never happened.
01:54Cloak and Dagger
02:02The strategists, you know, the healers of Marvel rivals, are surprisingly formidable
02:07compared to most other shooters and their healers.
02:10You'll see a few of them later on, but Cloak and Dagger are definitely shady characters
02:14to watch out for.
02:15While Dagger can shoot out projectiles that damage enemies and heal allies, Cloak can
02:19drain foes with very little precision required on his part.
02:23Dagger, though, is the character to prioritize in combat, as she has three different abilities
02:28that can keep her team at full health.
02:30So if you see her on the field, and she only has an ally or two near her, do your best
02:35to take her out first.
02:40Jeff the Shark
02:47Jeff is another strategist character you should be aware of and target as soon as you see
02:51him.
02:52As adorable as he may seem, Jeff is one of the cheapest and slipperiest characters on
02:57the roster.
02:58His primary fire shoots out a beam of healing water, while his alternate fire launches explosive
03:03bubbles that can damage enemies.
03:05However, the healing aspect is where he is the strongest.
03:09Between the beam of water and the healing bubbles he can throw out, Jeff grants a ton
03:13of health just between these two methods, which can make it insanely hard to kill off
03:18an enemy.
03:19His ultimate, on the other hand, try not to get swallowed up by him.
03:23If you do, you better pray there isn't a cliff or bottomless pit nearby.
03:33Star-Lord
03:34At first, Star-Lord looks like he may just be an average duelist with his basic pistols.
03:39However, he has quickly established himself as one of the best characters of his class.
03:44For starters, Star-Lord has a regular ability that allows him to quickly fire off a volley
03:48of shots from several directions, which can potentially kill a few enemies at once.
03:54But the most frustrating part about fighting him is his ultimate.
03:58When Star-Lord triggers Galactic Legend, he suddenly gains auto-aim and can quickly pepper
04:03targets with hitscan shots.
04:05You'll be dead before you can even realize what's happening.
04:09Squirrel Girl
04:16Squirrel Girl might seem like the token oddball of the cast, but don't discount her.
04:20She can be as lethal as the other duelists.
04:23Though she can maximize damage with direct hits, Squirrel Girl can benefit from dealing
04:27splash damage and force enemies to move to different positions.
04:31She can even launch bigger, more lethal acorns and call upon squirrels to temporarily immobilize
04:36a target.
04:37And while her ultimate may not seem like much at first, it can be deadlier in various situations.
04:43Squirrel Tsunami launches out a wave of squirrels that will bounce off of walls and deal severe
04:48damage to anybody in its path.
04:50Basically, you don't want to be caught alone with Squirrel Girl in tight areas.
05:01Venom
05:10Venom is the easiest character to use in Marvel Rivals, which may not be what you want to
05:14hear when someone is describing a tank-class character.
05:18As a Vanguard, Venom can act as a bullet sponge when he's got a good healer behind him.
05:23However, what Venom truly excels in is not in melee combat or primary fire, but in being
05:29a near-immortal powerhouse.
05:31With the same web-swinging speed and wall-crawling as Spider-Man, Venom can quickly ambush foes
05:36from above, inflict a ton of damage with his melee attacks, and heal himself instantly
05:41mid-fight.
05:42And that's all without mentioning his potential with AoE attacks, like his ultimate and team
05:47up mechanic.
05:55Scarlet Witch
06:02Across the player base, Scarlet Witch has become the most feared character on the Marvel
06:06Rivals roster.
06:07The main reason for this has to do with her movement as Scarlet Witch can turn invisible
06:12and fly above players.
06:14This opens up the opportunity for her to flank opponents, or worse, unleash her ultimate.
06:19If a team is oblivious for even half a second, Scarlet Witch can potentially wipe them all
06:24out with a single use of her ultimate, if not half of the team.
06:28Really, a smart Scarlet Witch player can quickly put a whole team of six in a very compromising
06:33position with just a single move.
06:36As for her other abilities, she may not be the best choice to have a one-on-one fight
06:41with.
06:50Adam Warlock
06:52Of all the strategists, Adam Warlock is the top of the class.
06:56He isn't like Jeff or Dagger, characters that can sort of add on to the damage output,
07:01or have some escape plan if caught alone.
07:04What makes Adam Warlock annoying is his healing factor.
07:08He has two abilities that heal both his allies and himself with beams of energy.
07:14Even his soulbound ability can negate powerful attacks by splitting the damage between him
07:19and other allies.
07:21Plus, the revive game is strong as he can resurrect at a spot near where he died, and
07:27his ultimate can resurrect an entire team.
07:31Moon Knight
07:37At the time of launch, Moon Knight is absolutely the best character to play as in Marvel Rivals.
07:43This isn't because he has a vast arsenal of gadgets or some of the funniest dialogue,
07:48either.
07:49It all stems from his main weapon, the Crescent Blades.
07:53What makes these so unique is that when multiple enemies are near each other, the Crescent
07:57Blades will bounce between them, inflicting a decent amount of damage until enemies separate
08:02far enough from each other.
08:03That's not even the worst of it though.
08:05Moon Knight can also shoot out a mystical ankh into the environment, which he can then
08:10throw his Crescent Blades at to ricochet and land shots on enemies without even needing
08:17to look at them.
08:18A solid setup can allow Moon Knight to rack up kills and assists without much effort,
08:23and that alone is why The Moon continues to haunt players to this day.
