00:03that is what the Bureau of Internal Revenue is reporting to the sellers and users of Peking PWD ID.

00:16The BIR is now accused of selling PWD ID and the use of it by individuals

00:22who have nothing to do with it.

00:24This was stated by BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagi Jr.

00:28in what he called a huge loss of income.

00:30Not only in the eyes of the businessmen, but also in the eyes of the government.

00:35If you don't want to lose, the government is losing P88 billion pesos

00:40because of the uncollected 20% discount from those who are not entitled to PWDs

00:48who have Peking PWD IDs.

00:51The BIR chief is not only unable to sue, but can also jail those behind the scenes

00:57and use the so-called ID that is not disabled.

01:01That is why the BIR, said Lumagi, will be strict and will point out the wrong use of PWD ID

01:09and will answer the charges against him for fraud.

01:14So if you are using PWDs that are not yours,

01:19it means that if we catch you, you can be charged with a criminal case and you can be jailed.

01:27And because of those who are not entitled to receive a discount using a Peking ID,

01:32Lumagi said that the loss of income is very important

01:36and that it should have gone to the government's project.

01:39For example, the infrastructure projects.

01:43For that, Lumagi said, the effect of the fraud, especially the 20% discount that is lost

01:50should have gone to the government and to the businessmen.

01:54That is why the BIR, said Lumagi, will make sure that PWDs are the only ones who can avail a discount

02:03because it is a big loss to the government and those who are in business.

02:08It means that instead of using PWDs in our government's projects,

02:14PWDs are the ones who are benefiting from the 20% discount.

02:21Again, the businessmen and the government are losing funds for our infrastructure projects.

02:27According to reports, Peking PWD ID is being sold for P300 in Bacolod City

02:34and can reach up to P1,300 in Valenzuela City.
