00:00A friend of the murdered model, Julian Rodelas, was released from prison for murder but was fined for kidnapping.

00:08The suspect's fiancé, Salima Refran, is guilty of the murder.

00:18Julian Rodelas' model has been dead for 12 years since he was found dead in Cubao, Quezon City.

00:24The suspect was not yet identified as he had bullets in his head and body.

00:29But because of the receipt in the bag of burgers and fries that he was holding,

00:33it was discovered that his best friend and fellow model, Althea Altamirano, was involved.

00:39She was the last person Rodelas was with that night before he was found dead.

00:43She was crying as she said goodbye to Rodelas in front of the World Trade Center after they watched a movie.

00:50The man was on his back, the car was closed, even the sandals he was wearing fell on the roadside.

01:01But the man who went around was Althea Altamirano's boyfriend, Fernando Quiambao Jr.

01:07They were accused of murder.

01:09Earlier, Quiambao was found guilty beyond reasonable doubt by the Quezon City RTC Branch 223

01:15and was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for perpetual reclusion.

01:21He was also fined almost half a million pesos.

01:26When the police investigated the case,

01:29they found in the CCTV footage of the fast-food chain that Quiambao bought the burger and fries that Rodelas was holding.

01:35The plate that Quiambao was driving, an SUV, also hit the man who was thrown by Rodelas.

01:42But Rodelas' best friend, Altamirano, was acquitted.

01:46The court said that although it was proven that Altamirano was involved in the kidnapping of Rodelas,

01:52it was not proven beyond reasonable doubt that he was involved in the murder.

01:57What was proven, according to the court, was that Rodelas was involved in the teaching of the lesson.

02:04Quiambao went out to question the decision-maker and the one who ordered Rodelas to be killed after he was identified.

02:11The court is giving the possibility that Altamirano may not know that Rodelas has a plan to kill him.

02:18Altamirano told the same story in the media.

02:21Although I was helping Giagia, I was counting her clothes and I was fixing her clothes.

02:28Then she was teasing me, my boyfriend got angry.

02:34She said that I was taught a lesson, that I should be punished.

02:39I didn't know that they were planning to kill me.

02:48Altamirano was ordered to be released from the Quezon City Jail.

02:52But he was paid a fine of P100,000 for his involvement in the kidnapping.

02:58The court's search for justice for the murder of Julian Rodelas was long.

03:04That's why the Rodelas family couldn't accept the release of Altamirano.

03:09It's painful because I want him to be imprisoned.

03:12My son didn't die, but he wasn't the reason.
