Para naman sa mga Kapuso nating visually impaired ang innovation today! Dahil ang prototype ng tungkod na gawa ng tampok nating computer engineering students --- may obstacle detection, g-p-s, at bill identifier. Tara, let's change the game!

00:00For those of us who are visually impaired, today's innovation is for those of us who are visually impaired.
00:15Because the prototype of Tungkud was made by our computer engineering students.
00:20It has obstacle detection, GPS, and bill identifier.
00:24Let's go! Let's change the game!
00:30It looks like a simple Tungkud at first glance.
00:33But did you know that this was leveled up for those of us who are visually impaired?
00:38Well, how?
00:40Tungkud with Upgraded Features is an Arduino-based innovation
00:43by computer engineering students from STI College, Ortigas, Cainta.
00:48I live in Santo Polo.
00:50There are a lot of blind message workers there.
00:53So, I was inspired by them.
00:56Despite their disability, they wanted to work still.
01:00So, that became the basis of our Tungkud.
01:03It has three objectives that will help the blind, especially those who are working.
01:09It is also an obstacle detection sensor
01:12that has a real-time alert for the user in case someone gets hit on the way.
01:17It also has attached GPS technology
01:20that can be used by the user's relatives to locate their location.
01:29Ah!
01:30So, the relatives of the user will know the current location
01:35because it has a text-based notification.
01:38Let's read what's written.
01:40This user is currently at...
01:42Then, the coordinates are written there.
01:44I hope everyone will update.
01:46Their interview with some visually-impaired masseurs
01:49was a major contribution to the research and development of the project.
01:53And because the masseurs are visually impaired,
01:56this prototype is a primary beneficiary.
01:59The bill acceptor device is also programmed in the project.
02:04This is where it points to the Philippine Peso bills
02:08that the customers enter to avoid fraud.
02:13All of the components we used for each objective
02:16were researched thoroughly
02:18so that in the future, the user won't have any problems.
02:21We did a beta testing on MyAntipolo and the massage workers,
02:25so they were happy about it.
02:27There you have it, Kapuso.
02:29Truly a game-changing innovation with a huge potential.
02:33The potential to help visually-impaired individuals here in the country.
02:39For GME Integrated News,
