00:00I'm outside Southampton's St Mary's Stadium after what was more or less the perfect evening for Tottenham
00:04who thrashed, sorry, Southampton 5-0 here to lift the mood, ease the pressure on head coach
00:10Anto Postogoglu and give them a much needed confidence boost ahead of Thursday's Carabao Cup
00:14quarterfinal at home to Manchester United and the visit of league leaders Liverpool next weekend.
00:20Southampton were really abject so it was difficult to read too much into Spurs' performance and the
00:24result but you can only beat what's in front of you and Spurs were clinical and devastating in
00:29the first half particularly James Madison who opened the scoring after 36 seconds and scored
00:33and stopped his time of the first half as well and Heung-Min Son who was really good in the
00:38opening period and went off at half time. The Saints fans openly mutinied against their head
00:43coach Russell Martin calling for him to go and it's worth saying the away end frequently and
00:49repeatedly called for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to go in a real sign of the mood among Spurs
00:54supporters at the moment. They also have showed their support for Postogoglu with chance for the
01:00Spurs head coach and the Spurs fans are making it clear where they feel the blame for their
01:05frustrating season so far lies. So a good night for Spurs, marred only perhaps by an injury to
01:10Destiny Goggini in the first half, they now face United in what feels like a massive game on Thursday.
