Wales football have produced some unbelievable talent throughout their history. If you look at the top of the appearances and goal-getting charts, the names clearly standout above the rest.

00:17haven't been those star names, you know, yes, you've had Gareth Bale, but then you had your
00:22likes of Ashley Williams who really helped in their run at Euro 2016 as well, and so
00:26that's the case now because Wales are a side, as I say, you're not always going to produce
00:30that many big names, you have to have also quite a lot of the perhaps the underrated
00:35players, and so at the moment, you know, you've got the likes of Joe Allen, Ethan Ampadu at
00:41Leeds, even though he is at the moment injured, and a few others as well, which I'm sure you'll
00:45enlighten us of too, but yeah, so who can we talk about when it comes to underrated
00:49players in the Welsh squad at the moment, and just what can they provide for the national
00:54team going forward as they look to once again qualify for major tournaments in the future?
00:59Yeah, obviously, as you say, there's multiple names that come to mind, you know, obviously
01:05the main ones, Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, these players who were so big in such big
01:11moments, especially in that Euro 2016 campaign, as you mentioned, but you know, if you look
01:16at just the appearance records in itself, Chris Gunter and Wayne Hennessy are on 109,
01:23obviously Wayne Hennessy will look to improve that, still going, but I just think what stands
01:27out mainly is the actual year that these guys started for Wales, it was 2006, 7, 8, and
01:34they're still going, most of them, if not, they've ended in 2022, that's 15 years, it's
01:39remarkable to see that, and I think, yeah, as you say, the likes of Ashley Williams deserve
01:44massive praise, Chris Gunter, Ben Davies, I think is one that, you know, he's 31, he
01:49started in 2012, he's still playing week in, week out for Spurs at the highest level, so
01:57yeah, really, really impressive, you know, Ethan Ampadu, you mentioned there, he's played
02:01and arrived different positions, you know, for Leeds when he's been fit, I think he's
02:05been a real standout, you know, didn't quite hit the heights at Chelsea, was loaned out
02:10multiple times and to, you know, try and find his full form, but he was fantastic at Leeds
02:15last season as well, so there's a lot and, you know, there's a lot also that go under
02:21the radar and you actually look and they are around 50 appearances, you know, Joe Roden
02:26for Leeds as well, he's been fantastic, Conor Roberts, I think he deserves a lot of praise
02:31for the Burnley Welsh international, he's been fantastic, you know, 50 or 60, 60 appearances
02:38for Wales, which is quite impressive as well, multiple players who are going under the radar
02:43for Wales and really do deserve a lot of praise to go along with the sort of bigger names who've
02:49got them over the line, for example, in 2016 and they are still going, so really, really do
02:55deserve some credit for them competing still at the highest level.
