00:00Sunday, the Lakers at the crib beat the Grizzlies 116-110 in la-la-la-la Lipstick City, but
00:09AD had 40 and 16 boards.
00:12Reeves had 19.
00:13Guess who played?
00:14LeBron.
00:15He had an 18-piece, eight assists, and eight rebounds.
00:20Here he is talking about stepping away from the team last week.
00:25Probably the Saturday after the Hawks game, I felt my foot, felt my body, you know, after
00:32that Hawks game, after that last road trip, and, you know, I did my pre-game workout on
00:37that Sunday for the Portland game, and, you know, decided that it was probably best that
00:42I probably take that game off, and, you know, looking forward to the schedule, and play
00:47again until Friday in Minnesota, but if I had the opportunity to take more days, get
00:53my mind body, my mind body, and everything, just, you know, where I wanted to be for
00:57tonight, you know, and it worked out here.
01:00God, he sounds miserable, and he literally, to me, sounds like it's almost the end of
01:06the road.
01:08It's not the end of the road.
01:09No, I respect LeBron for the fact that Scott, he's getting older, and he's actually smart
01:12and knows what his body.
01:13Look at MB.
01:14This guy's like paper thin.
01:15Like, LeBron plays, you know what, that was actually smart.
01:18He's an older guy.
01:19You play basketball, it's hard on you, man.
01:21When you get older, it's tough.
01:22It doesn't matter what kind of shape you're in.
01:23You got to understand your body, know when to rest, know when to play, and be ready when
01:27it counts.
01:28So, yeah, I got to give LeBron credit.
01:29At least he comes back and plays where these other guys don't even make an effort to come
01:32back.
01:33Joe.
01:34So I play, right, and here's what happens.
01:36So I play in the mornings against great players, and then I play in this league late at night,
01:41so I got the semifinal tonight.
01:42Now, I'll play probably eight to ten minutes in this game, and I'll run up and down this
01:47NBA court, and literally, I will go home after the game, the semifinal, and within
01:53an hour, I'll be in atrophy.
01:55I will literally, I'll go to, I'll sit down and have a run, and I'll get up to have another
02:01one, and I can't even walk.
02:02I'm like locked my hips, and then like tomorrow, there'll be no running because I'm shot.
02:09My legs hurt.
02:10My hips hurt, and like, that's because I'm almost, you know, I'm 59 and I'm done, but
02:14I can still ball.
02:15It just takes a toll on your body.
02:17I shouldn't probably be playing basketball at my age.
02:20Guys that are half my age can't believe that I'm playing basketball still.
02:24The thing is, I love playing basketball more than I like doing anything else in life, so
02:29I keep playing for some strange reason, and my body, it takes a toll on me.
02:33Put it this way, my middle name is Jacuzzi.
