A grieving dad has been doing the school run each day dressed in wacky Christmas costumes in memory of his late wife - and other parents are now joining in.

Niall O’Connor, 43, from Wolverhampton has dressed up as the Grinch, a Christmas pudding, a penguin, an elf, a turkey and Santa to drop his three children off at primary school.

The dad-of-three decided to spread festive cheer and raise money for charity in honour of his beloved wife Kirsty who died two years ago.

00:27Hi, my name is Niall. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation by dressing up
00:39every day for 12 days, leading up to the last day of school in memory of my wife who sadly
00:46passed in March 2022 from sudden heart failure. So I'm doing it in her memory and what I'm
00:54trying to do is just really bring a smile to people's faces. Christmas can be hard enough
00:59for us all so I just thought why not do some costumes and raise money for a good cause in
01:04the process in memory of my wife and so far I'm getting a lot of smiles and hopefully create some
01:10more so yeah.
01:11Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose, and if you ever saw it, you would say it glows.
01:37We can donate, I've got a link on my Facebook page, there's a Just Giving page set up and so
01:43yeah and it can be accessed through that or my Instagram and stuff.
02:07Merry Christmas!
