00:00From a TriStar point of view this is our 50th year in existence and we've always supported
00:11grassroots football and the Ulster University has helped us to continue that. We've been
00:14using this facility now for the last 10-15 years and they've allowed us basically to
00:18grow our club because of the use of this facility.
00:22Young people will benefit from participating in this TriStar tournament because it's a
00:26cross-community tournament. We've got teams from all over Northern Ireland and we've got
00:29teams from Donegal. It's about just trying to bring different cultures, different backgrounds,
00:34bringing them all together. So this is all just about getting kids together and just
00:37enjoying football.
00:41This is my first time playing a tournament in TriStar and I had lots of fun and I played
00:46loads of matches.
00:47I'm excited for playing football today because I'm excited to play with my team.
00:55I think grassroots sports is a great opportunity for young people to come together in their
01:00community and it's all part of their development and building their social skills and confidence.
01:05It's a great opportunity for young people.
01:07The reason for participating is quite simple. It's fun for the girls. The atmosphere created
01:12is fantastic. The facilities are great. You can't beat the community engagement because
01:16hundreds of people, you can't get it elsewhere.
