00:00There may be a fire in a residential area in Tondo, Manila and we have live first news, EJ Gomez. EJ?

00:12Ivan, there was a fire that broke out earlier this morning at 4 a.m. here in Elcano Street, Tondo, Manila.

00:20The fire was immediately raised to the second alarm and reached the third alarm.

00:24This means that the number of firetrucks needed to respond will not be lower than 12.

00:33The residents of Elcano Street here in Tondo, Manila were engulfed by the blaze earlier at 4 a.m.

00:40Several houses were completely destroyed.

00:42Some of them were forced to evacuate because of the sudden intensity of the fire and the thick smoke.

00:48The affected residents were disposed of and their belongings were saved.

00:53According to the initial information from the BFP, four residential structures were engulfed by the fire.

00:59Approximately 20 families were affected or 40 individuals.

01:04It is estimated that the initial cost of the fire was P300,000.

01:11When we raised the alarm, we raised it because we are not afforded harvestment of light materials.

01:24We know that it's easy to catch fire.

01:27We just woke up suddenly and the fire was already spreading.

01:31We didn't think about anything. It's like our minds were already spread.

01:35The owner of the house caught fire.

01:38Fortunately, we woke up at 2 a.m.

01:40We were shocked.

01:43We only had a piece of paper to apply for a job.

01:49Then it was gone.

01:51We are not happy.

01:53We are hoping that our children will send us some money.

01:57This is what happened to us here.

02:05Ivan, according to the BFP, two people suffered minor injuries.

02:11One BFP personnel and one resident.

02:14Meanwhile, the fire is still being investigated.

02:18It is being declared that the fire started at 7 a.m.
