00:00In front of the Government Subsidy, PhilHealth promised to reduce the premium contribution rates of their members and to expand their benefits.

00:15The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation or PhilHealth agreed that they are ready to adjust
00:20to President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.'s 2025 General Appropriations Bill that does not include any subsidy for the agency.
00:31In a hearing of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability,
00:35PhilHealth President and Chief Executive Officer Emanuel Ledesma Jr. stated that they have enough funds so they will continue their service.

00:50What we can assure in any case is that PhilHealth Management will optimize our resources
00:58and will safeguard every peso entrusted to us and make sure it is spent effectively and responsibly.
01:07PhilHealth President also insisted that their financial status should be maintained.
01:12In fact, they also promised lawmakers that they will reduce the premium contribution rates of their members from 5% to 3.25%.
01:22They will also expand their hospitalization coverage by 50% starting next month.
