00:00The Department of Agriculture in Hamon has admitted that lowering the price of rice will strengthen the Rice for All program.
00:09From January, the price of rice will increase from P35 to P36 per kilo, which is cheaper than P40 in Kadiwa stores.
00:18In 2025, the price of nutrient-rich rice will increase from P36 to P37 per kilo.
00:25This is just one of the reasons why nutrients, fiber, and a higher rice recovery from rice remain.
00:33The DA has a budget of P5 billion for the program and targets the additional P1,200 of Kadiwa stores in markets or barangays from the current P300.
00:45The DA will help the mayors so that cheap rice can enter the market.
00:50The DA will also provide assistance to farmers to increase production and lower the price of rice.
