00:00Hey, it's People in 10, our last episode of the year.
00:07In 2025, wedding bells might ring for these two
00:10after Benny Blanco proposed to Selena Gomez
00:13with a Taco Bell picnic and a very, very large diamond.
00:18It has to be a full experience.
00:20Now, I'm not going to lie.
00:21I clocked right away that Hailey Bieber, who, of course,
00:24is married to Selena's ex, Justin Bieber, liked the post.
00:28It's all love here.
00:29And also here, where Selena's two weird uncles
00:32and Only Murders co-stars sent their well wishes, too.
00:35Hey, we already got Taylor as the fly girl.
00:38Now, how about we get Martin and Steve
00:39to walk her down the aisle?
00:41Or they do have some experienced wedding planning.
00:44I assume you'll be wearing a black tuxedo.
00:46It is a black tuxedo.
00:48We can't wait to see.
00:51And love is clearly in the air because we're
00:54swooning over Yvette Nicole Brown's dream wedding
00:57and her happy ending with actor Anthony Davis.
00:59And we got to talk about that guest list.
01:01Five of her community co-stars made it to Shirley's Big Day.
01:04Joe McCam, Jillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong,
01:08and Danny Pudi.
01:09At this point, it's been almost 10 years.
01:12Oh, no, has it been that long?
01:13I'm so sorry.
01:14So next up, community reunion on screen?
01:17Here's hoping.
01:19Y'all, Timothee Chalamet gave us a Friday the 13th shock
01:23when he rolled up to the New York
01:24premiere of his new movie looking like this.
01:27Blonde, bangs, woo, the internet didn't
01:29know what to do with itself.
01:31That is until someone pointed out
01:33he's actually paying homage to 2003 Bob Dylan, who he
01:37plays in A Complete Unknown.
01:38And now that you mention it, he kind of ate with this.
01:42From the beanie, hair, and a whisper of a mustache,
01:44to the plaid shirt, scarf, and leather jacket.
01:47But don't worry, this was just method dressing.
01:49He was back to the Timmy we know and love just a few days later.
01:54Sidney Sweeney knows how to take the haters down
01:57by putting them on blast and posting
01:58dozens of their nasty uncensored comments about her body.
02:02Imagine finding anything to criticize about this bombshell.
02:05Anyway, she followed that up with a badass montage
02:08of her intense training to play boxer
02:10Christy Martin in a new movie.
02:12So yeah, her body has been changing.
02:14She's busy getting stronger, y'all, so deal with it.
02:17And Sid's famous friends from Glenn Powell
02:20to Sophia Carson, Lili Reinhart, and more,
02:23they have definitely got her back.
02:26Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are spreading some cheer
02:29with their annual holiday card and giving us our first look
02:31at their kids in years.
02:33This is so cute.
02:34So Archie and Lilibet are seen running towards their parents
02:37as their three dogs look on.
02:39Back in September, Harry talked about Lilibet's long red locks,
02:43saying she was blessed with her mom's thick hair.
02:45But she got the color from Harry's mom, Princess Diana.
02:48All three of her siblings, Lady Sarah, Lady Jane, and Earl
02:51Charles, have red hair, too.
02:54But Harry's uncle on his dad's side
02:56might be keeping a low profile during this usually
02:59festive period.
03:00Let's call Janine to find out why.
03:04Hey, Mako, what's up?
03:05Hey, Janine.
03:05Girl, the Duke of York has yet another scandal brewing.
03:08What is it this time?
03:09That's right.
03:10Prince Andrew is under new scrutiny
03:12for his alleged links to a Chinese businessman suspected
03:15of being a spy.
03:17The businessman was said to have earned, quote,
03:19an unusual degree of trust from Prince Andrew,
03:22even attending his 60th birthday party in 2020,
03:25allegedly going to the royal estate of Windsor,
03:27the Times said.
03:28This seems like another trouble for the Duke of York,
03:31who does not hold a working royal role
03:33around his alleged friendship with convicted sex offender
03:36Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew has repeatedly
03:38denied any wrongdoing.
03:40What a mess.
03:41Now, this is obviously happening around Christmas,
03:44which is huge for the royals.
03:45I mean, their tradition of celebrating together
03:48is kind of iconic.
03:49Yeah, that's right.
03:50And King Charles has invited his younger brother
03:52to the public side of these festivities
03:54since the start of his royal reign in 2022.
03:57The king probably doesn't want to outright ban his brother,
03:59so the ball is sort of in Andrew's court.
04:02And people understand that Prince Andrew
04:04and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will not
04:06spend Christmas at Sandringham, nor will
04:08their adult daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
04:11Prince Andrew and Virgie have also
04:13canceled plans to attend the king's
04:15traditional pre-Christmas lunch.
04:16And this just shakes up tradition
04:18because it's rare for Prince Andrew and his daughters
04:20not to be there.
04:21Ooh, thanks for the info, Janine.
04:23I'll talk to you later, and happy holidays.
04:25Bye, you too.
04:27So Aaron Rodgers has a new docuseries out on Netflix.
04:30It's already been pretty divisive,
04:32with some totally on board for his candid takes,
04:34and others not so much.
04:36Our quote of the week comes from how he initially
04:38hated the attention he got from his NFL success.
04:41But he also admits the part he played in it, specifically
04:44his multiple high-profile relationships.
04:47I didn't do myself any favors with some of the girls
04:49I dated after that that were in the public eye.
04:52It's hard to stay out of the spotlight,
04:54especially when your love life is so public.
04:56You've got Olivia Munn from 2015 to 2017.
04:59Now she's married to John Mulaney.
05:01Then there was Danica Patrick, the retired NASCAR
05:03star from 2018 to 2020.
05:06And then there was Shailene Woodley in late 2020.
05:09They even announced their engagement in 2021,
05:11but called things off twice a year later.
05:16Pack your bags, y'all, because The White Lotus
05:18is officially open for another season.
05:20Welcome to The White Lotus in Thailand cut.
05:23We got a surprise trailer for season three this week,
05:25with sneak peeks of Natasha Rothwell's return
05:28and debut appearances from Walton Goggins,
05:30Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Patrick Schwarzenegger,
05:33Michelle Monaghan, and the already memable Parker Posey.
05:37Someone stole my lorazepam.
05:39I'm gonna have to drink myself to sleep.
05:42Clear your account for the premiere.
05:43That's on February 16th.
05:47Gayle King is turning 70 over the holidays,
05:49but her BFF Oprah was not gonna miss the chance
05:51to celebrate with a star-studded birthday bash.
05:54Happy birthday to you.
05:59Now it's pretty impossible to upstage Oprah of all people,
06:02but at this party, Stephen Colbert did just that.
06:06He stole the show with the moves he brought
06:08to the dance floor and had the time of his life.
06:12Now it's the sit down with Felicity Jones.
06:14Hi, Felicity.
06:15You're starring in what many are calling
06:17the movie of the year, The Brutalist.
06:19Walk us through how you arrive at this moment.
06:21How did you get the script in your hands?
06:22Well, I actually got the script about two years
06:26before we actually shot the film,
06:27so I had a really long time to think about it
06:30and to get my head around it.
06:33But when I read the script, I just was blown away by it.
06:37I remember sitting and reading it
06:39and feeling completely emotional at the end of it.
06:43I think I might have shed a tear.
06:46So I knew that there was something really powerful in it,
06:49but what I loved about it was that it was about
06:51so many things, that it has all these different facets.
06:55And in some respects, it's so true
06:58about the struggle of survival.
07:01And it's about these two people trying to survive,
07:04but surviving with their dreams and their beliefs intact.
07:09There were so many scenes that shook me to my core.
07:12I was immersed in the darkness of the movie theater
07:14and then the bright shot of the Statue of Liberty shivers.
07:18Do you ever think about what it means
07:19to be a part of such impactful art?
07:21In a funny way, you just never quite know
07:24how it's gonna hit an audience.
07:26And so really, before Venice, we just didn't have a clue.
07:31You know, we sensed that it was different
07:33and it was ambitious, but then in Venice,
07:36we really saw how it connected to audiences
07:40and that it's really, there's so many universal themes
07:44in it, in part, it's a love story
07:47and it's about these two people
07:49who are wanting to make this love work,
07:52no matter what it takes.
07:54I feel like we're all really desperate
07:58for a story of this magnitude.
08:00You know, it's so rare you get something on this scale.
08:04We interviewed Adrian a while back for Asteroid City
08:07and he charmed the out of me.
08:09Obviously, this movie is heavy.
08:11What was filming together like?
08:12Well, we didn't have a lot of rehearsal for this film.
08:15So when we came to set, it was the first time
08:19that we'd done the scenes together.
08:21So we didn't, you know, I didn't really know what to expect
08:24but I think with Adrian, he's just so good
08:28and he's so honest in his performances
08:31that he kind of makes everyone better around him.
08:36He just, and we were lucky,
08:38we just had a, we had a vibe.
08:40We had a, we kind of had a connection
08:43that we just went for it.
08:45You know, we just wanted to make it feel
08:48as believable as possible.
08:50This movie is three hours and 35 minutes long
08:53with a built-in intermission.
08:54That's rare these days.
08:55When we finish this masterpiece,
08:57what are we ordering at the bar?
08:59Well, I know after we'd watched it in Italy,
09:02everyone had an Aperol Spritz afterwards.
09:04So, and I guess at the end of the film,
09:07it is set in Italy.
09:07So that would be the appropriate beverage of choice.
09:10Award season has started
09:12and we saw you received your first nomination
09:14for Best Supporting Actress.
09:15Are you ready for all the madness to begin?
09:17As ready as you can be.
09:21Yeah, we were saying, it's one of those funny things.
09:23You just, you never quite know
09:25and you don't want to get your hopes up.
09:26So you just try and reassure yourself.
09:29You're like every step of the way, this is great.
09:31Where we've got to is great.
09:32And everything else will be, you know,
09:34will be the cherry on the cake.
09:36Are you a glitz and glam out in Hollywood type
09:39or a home and jammies in front of the fire type of gal?
09:42I have two very young children
09:44who like to keep me very firmly indoors.
09:48So when I have the opportunity, I do like to go out.
09:51But a lot of the time I'm in bed by nine o'clock
09:55so I can be up at like 4.30 AM the next day.
09:59Finally, I'm going to put 10 seconds on the clock.
10:01Tell everyone what they can expect
10:03when they see The Brutalist.
10:04Ready? Go.
10:06It is a monumental piece of cinema
10:09and you will not only cry, but you will laugh.
10:13And I think it's just not like anything
10:15that people have seen before.
10:17I think it's totally original, which is a great thing.
10:21Felicity, thank you so much for joining us.
10:23Oh, thank you.
