Bank Indonesia (BI) menyiapkan uang tunai Rp133,7 triliun selama periode Natal dan Tahun Baru (Nataru) 2024, termasuk melalui penyelenggaraan Semarak Rupiah di Hari Natal Penuh Damai (SERUNAI) pada 15-20 Desember 2024.  Deputi Gubernur BI Doni Primanto Joewono mengatakan, kebutuhan uang tunai tersebut menyebar di Jawa 54 persen, Sumatera 21, Sulawesi 12, Kalimantan 9 persen, dan Bali Nusa Tenggara 4 persen.
