00:00Me saying, Mom, I just want to be a YouTuber.
00:02I don't care about homework is like the equivalent of going,
00:04Mom, I want to be f***ing homeless.
00:06And all the time you invest in me is worthless
00:08because I'm going to die poor.
00:09You know what I mean?
00:10And like, that's how her brain interpreted
00:12the words I was saying.
00:13She invested, you know, 21 years of her life
00:17into making me who I am and to raising me.
00:19Sometimes she was working two jobs.
00:21Like it was, it was not easy for her.
00:22So I wouldn't study in school.
00:24And it drove her mad.
00:25And there was a lot of argument.
00:26I always wonder how proud are your parents of you
00:31and how proud is your family of you?
00:33You changed their lives as well.
00:35And they know you better than anyone else.
00:38I sometimes wonder about the conversations
00:40your mom and dad have with you.
00:41Well, my mom is obviously incredibly proud.
00:44I think she actually sent me a text like two days ago,
00:47just like, it's a long message,
00:49but she's just like, I'm so proud of what you accomplished.
00:51Thank you for keeping me on the journey.
00:53And not every son in your position would involve their mom
00:57and it was like very heartfelt.
00:58And I was like, oh, that's sweet.
00:59She loves it, right?
01:01Because obviously, you know,
01:04she has now more money than she would know what to do with.
01:07Obviously I took care of my mom, set her up,
01:09make sure her mortgage is paid off, that kind of stuff.
01:12So yeah, I mean, for my mom, it's just like,
01:16you know, six years ago, eight.
01:18I mean, there was a time within the last decade where,
01:21you know, she couldn't afford to buy me a car
01:24so I could drive around when I have my license.
01:26There's a lot of things we were saying no to
01:27that I really wanted because we just didn't have the money
01:30and there's a lot of like struggle.
01:32And sometimes she was working two jobs,
01:34like it was not easy for her.
01:35So to go from that to the lifestyle now,
01:38it's like, I mean, she's so wildly grateful and happy.
01:42And it's like, it's cool to see it.
01:44Like she invested, you know, 21 years of her life
01:48into making me who I am and to raising me.
01:51And, you know, I wasn't always the easiest to work with,
01:53especially when I was younger.
01:53I had horrible communication and I was very passionate
01:58about wanting to be a YouTuber.
02:00So I wouldn't study in school.
02:01I would do this thing where I just put my backpack
02:03in my locker, like I wouldn't even bring books home
02:05or anything, made my mom so mad.
02:07She'd like want me to do homework.
02:08I'm like, I don't even have anything.
02:10I don't have my books.
02:11Like I don't bring them home.
02:12Like I literally didn't do homework like for an entire year.
02:15I mean, it was, cause I just didn't care.
02:18And it drove her mad.
02:19And there was a lot of arguments
02:20and I wasn't always the best at articulating
02:23back when I was younger.
02:24Like, I mean, I don't even know how I would,
02:25but I was just kind of like, mom,
02:26I just want to be a YouTuber.
02:27And her brain, because she's grew up more traditionally,
02:30get a degree, get a job, do this.
02:32Like me saying, mom, I just want to be a YouTuber.
02:35I don't care about homework.
02:36It's like the equivalent of going,
02:38mom, I want to be homeless.
02:40And all the time you invest in me is worthless
02:42because I'm going to die poor.
02:43You know what I mean?
02:44And like, that's how her brain interpreted
02:45the words I was saying.
02:46And so it was just like two completely different worlds
02:49that were constantly, worldviews constantly clashing
02:52between me and my mom when we were younger.
02:54And yeah, that was not easy,
02:57but she never gave up on me
02:59and we obviously figured it out,
03:01but it was like, because I love her and she loves me,
03:04but it's just like, this is just something
03:06I was so adamant about and so passionate about
03:08that it was just like, I'm sorry,
03:09there's nothing you could say that would change my mind.
03:12But as things started to work,
03:14she eventually came around to it.
03:16And when I got more money on a single brand deal one time
03:20than she was making an entire year,
03:22that's when she was like, okay, I get it.
03:25I see, she's like, I trust you.
