00:02Oh!
00:03Oh!
00:04Look at that, look at that.
00:06There's a few things I love in life.
00:08Peach cobbler and great ice cream scoops.
00:11What's up fam?
00:12It's your boy Roscoe, Recipe Redemption.
00:15Here to talk about some Lazy Peach Cobbler.
00:17I gotta read this intro.
00:19This Lazy Peach Cobbler is very easy to make.
00:21Designed for the laid back person.
00:22Great for other fruits too.
00:24Enjoy the easy life, bruh.
00:25Angela, I dig your vibe here.
00:27Let's look at some reviews.
00:28This took way longer than 25 minutes.
00:30I hit 50 minutes and it still wasn't done.
00:33Don't recommend this recipe.
00:34Cool, you're upset.
00:35I would not recommend this recipe to anyone.
00:38The sugar should have been diluted
00:40with milk to spread easier.
00:42Instead, it burnt just being all over.
00:45Angela, I like your vibes.
00:47I see what you're doing.
00:48You're rocking with margarine.
00:49Flour, white cup, sugar.
00:52Oh, this is easy.
00:53Supposed to be, right?
00:54Laid back.
00:55Let's go get some margarine,
00:56which I'm very excited about.
00:57Someone told me it was plastic.
00:59What?
01:01Yeah.
01:01Y'all never heard that?
01:02It's basically plastic with seasoning?
01:05What?
01:07All right, this is chill, dude.
01:09You just put this in here and you stick it in the oven.
01:11We got two cups flour going on.
01:15Sugar, two cuppies.
01:18Don't y'all think it's a lot of sugar?
01:19Plus sweet peaches.
01:21That's sweet.
01:23Margarine sure is taking a long.
01:25Maybe it's plastic.
01:27Baking powder.
01:28I agree.
01:29Whiskey, whiskey.
01:30Oh, hold on.
01:31I gotta whisk it up though.
01:32She doesn't say to.
01:33Nope.
01:34Oh God, this is so hard.
01:35In my opinion, you should always whisk up your dry ingredients.
01:39Plastic.
01:42That's good syrup too.
01:43So they're supposed to whisk this till smooth.
01:49Margarine.
01:50You don't burn, do you?
01:52Remove glass pan from the oven
01:54and pour in batter just in the center.
01:56This is awesome.
01:57I just want to move it around.
01:59She's saying batter will spread over the entire pan.
02:03Yeah, I know.
02:04I get it.
02:05Y'all ready?
02:09Spread on their own?
02:10They spread on their own and then it goes in the oven.
02:15You want to touch it so bad, don't you?
02:17I can't shake the pan?
02:18No.
02:20That's not what Angie wrote.
02:22We'll check back in 25 minutes.
02:24Maybe in the oven, it'll be magical when we look in.
02:27Like everything just come out even.
02:29You guys want to peek?
02:30It looks exactly like some of the comments I've read.
02:34I mean, look at it guys.
02:35Woo child.
02:37Look at this.
02:38Look at this.
02:40We're raw in the middle and we're good on the sides.
02:44Maybe it's a little bit too lazy,
02:46but let me eat it.
02:47Cause come on.
02:48Oh gosh.
02:51Let's go.
02:54Mm-hmm.
02:56I mean, hey, listen, it's not cooked all the way.
02:58It just needs more time.
03:00If it was cooked all the way through, it'd be fine.
03:01If things were spread all the way out, it'd be fine.
03:04If you had the peaches chopped up a little bit
03:06and folded within the dough, could fix this.
03:08I'm gonna take this 2.9 star lazy peach cobbler recipe
03:11to a five star.
03:13Redeem it!
03:14Let's make my five star lazy peach cobbler.
03:18Let me get some milk and some butter.
03:20Real butter.
03:21Why are you doing real butter?
03:22It browns.
03:24It makes a nuttier flavor when it's cooked.
03:26Boom.
03:27Straight into the oven.
03:28But I better move fast.
03:31Cause I have a feeling butter will melt faster.
03:36All right.
03:37We need one cup of flour.
03:38Baking powder.
03:40Two teaspoons.
03:41We're adding some love.
03:43My beautiful, beautiful friend, nutmeg.
03:45Supposedly you could have fun with this in the sixties.
03:48Doing a pinch of cinnamon.
03:51We're gonna whisk this puppy up a little bit.
03:52Buttermilk.
03:53Why does buttermilk work so well?
03:55I honestly don't know that question at all.
03:57This is probably gonna be a little bit more of a clumpier,
04:01like a clumpier dough cause buttermilk's so thick.
04:04But when I go to mix in with my peaches,
04:07you'll get crispy bits.
04:09Huge difference, right?
04:12Look at that.
04:13I think you're looking pretty good over there, chef.
04:14That butter.
04:15You do?
04:16Yeah.
04:17I respect that.
04:18Hey, that's buddy.
04:20That's what I'm talking about.
04:21Now let's make some good stuff.
04:23Peaches.
04:24We're gonna dump our peach juice into this pan.
04:26By me doing this, mixing it with brown sugar,
04:28it's almost gonna be like a peach syrup.
04:31I'm gonna chop my peaches
04:33cause I want a lot of access to peaches on every bite.
04:36Boom.
04:38I know this takes the laziness out of it
04:40cause you had to chop something.
04:42Brown sugar, it's only three fourths cup in this recipe.
04:45The essence of brown sugar is amazing.
04:47Not just because I am brown sugar.
04:49Yeah.
04:50Because it caramelizes really good
04:52and makes like a great like syrupy base.
04:55You gotta have vanilla.
04:56You gotta have it.
04:57It's like Stevie Wonder not having a piano.
05:00Worst example ever.
05:01But you know what I'm trying to say.
05:02All right, I'm gonna stir this up
05:04and this is our syrupy bits.
05:05And then I plopped my crust cake flour mixture on.
05:10Gonna plop.
05:11Cause I'm gonna marble it.
05:13And then the rest, see I got some stuck in there.
05:16And when it bakes through it'll puff up
05:18some of those peaches from the bottom.
05:19And it'll connect with the rest on top.
05:21My favorite thing about peach cobbler is the syrup.
05:23The way the syrup adheres to the flour
05:25and burns the top of your mouth.
05:27My favorite part of the peach cobbler.
05:29That's the only reason you eat a peach cobbler.
05:30It's to burn your mouth.
05:32And you just, you do all that stuff and it's awesome.
05:35We're going in the oven.
05:36Look at the side view.
05:38See it?
05:38Yeah.
05:39It's everywhere.
05:40There's peaches and butter and cobbler stuff
05:42topping everywhere.
05:44It's everywhere.
05:45All right.
05:46We've got 35 minutes.
05:47I'm excited.
05:49It's been 35 minutes and you see this face.
05:52This is a face that just loves the smell of peach cobbler.
05:58And here's what I'm thinking.
05:59And here's what I'm gonna do.
06:01Give you an extra 10.
06:03Turn it to gold.
06:04You feel me?
06:06Look at that.
06:08All right.
06:09In 10 minutes we'll be able to eat this five-star
06:11Lazy Cobbler.
06:14Damn it!
06:16All right.
06:17Here we go.
06:20Oh, buddy bears.
06:22Come on.
06:25Hear that?
06:27Yeah.
06:28Yeah.
06:29Yeah.
06:30That's what we wanted.
06:30Little crispy top.
06:32Some of that biscuit toppings at the bottom.
06:35So, you know, it's soggy and it'll definitely
06:37burn the top of your mouth,
06:38which is what I'm looking for.
06:40You got crispy bits right there.
06:41You got just some good overall coverage.
06:44It's still liquidy.
06:45And the longer you let it sit,
06:46the more all that stuff will congeal.
06:48All that syrup will suck up.
06:49So you got to let it sit for at least like two minutes.
06:51Right?
06:52Pretty much the same.
06:53It's the same recipe.
06:54I just added some seasoning, basically.
06:57You want to try?
06:58I'm going for that middle joint right there.
07:09All right, y'all.
07:11Brown sugar syrup.
07:15Okay.
07:33The biscuit topping.
07:34I forgot we did all that nutmeg in that.
07:36Woo!
07:37Angela, I got so much love for your lazy cobbler.
07:41I think everyone should do a lazy cobbler every week.
07:44Seasonally.
07:46Strawberry, raspberry, poison.
07:48Look at that, look at that.
07:50There's a few things I love in life.
07:52Peach cobbler and great ice cream scoops.
08:01Dude!
08:02So bet, I took this 2.9 star lazy peach cobbler
08:07and brought it to a five.
08:10It's delicious.
08:11All right, homies.
08:12All recipes community, I love you.
08:15I'm done.
08:16I'm taking this away.
08:17Deuces!
08:20Redeem it!
08:21Man.
08:22Okay, now it starts getting weird.
08:25You know?
08:26I got to whisk it up though.
08:28She doesn't say to, but I got to whisk it up.
08:31Nope.
08:32Oh God, this is so hard.
08:33Followed it exactly.
08:34This is when the redemption just bothers me.
08:36Oh Jesus.
