00:00That's where we're going to start today for the fantasy book.
00:05We're going to start with Joe Burrow who had a knee issue, he had a wrist issue, but he's
00:09off all the injury reports.
00:10So everything is fine.
00:12Everything's just fine.
00:13You know, it's like what your mother tells you, even though she's crying in the kitchen
00:16during the holiday meal preparations, it goes, it's fine.
00:19Everything's fine.
00:20That's what Joe Burrow, everything's fine.
00:21It's like that episode of The Mayor, right?
00:25See, I know Matt doesn't watch a lot of TV, but the people out there, you know what I'm
00:29talking about?
00:30That episode of The Mayor is amazing.
00:31Oh my God, it's so good.
00:34Anyway, Joe Burrow won't be throwing any forks today, he'll be throwing touchdown passes.
00:37That's where he's going to be.
00:38Now, the only problem here is if they get up to so much that they really have to take
00:43their foot off the gas in the second half, Dorian Thompson Robinson on the other side
00:46doesn't play well at all, then we can have a little bit of an issue.
00:49But you have to love what he's been doing the last couple of weeks too.
00:52He has just been so consistent.
00:55He's got a six consecutive finishes in the top 10 of fantasy, he's ranked as the QB3
01:01this week in the expert consensus rankings.
01:03It's a good matchup against the Cleveland Browns, they're at home.
01:06He's got Chase Brown looking really good, Jamar Chase looking like he's going to get
01:11paid.
01:12It's been a really good situation here down the stretch for Joe Burrow.
01:14If this team had only gotten some sort of defense at some point, who knows where the
01:19Bengals would be.
01:20But I would not be shocked, you know, depending on how this season does wrap up for them,
01:25if they do make a change of coach, even though maybe it's not the best idea.
01:28I think Joe Brady, you know, who has a relationship with Joe Burrow could be the next coach of
01:33the Cincinnati Bengals.
01:34But regardless, whoever the coach is next year, they have to remake this defense.
01:38They have to do something else here.
01:40They can't keep chasing their tail one year as the offensive line, they fix that, then
01:44they go fix the defense, then they need to fix the defense the next year, like you need
01:47to have a complete team going in if you're going to compete with teams like the Baltimore
01:51Ravens in your division, with teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers in your division.
01:55You know, you have to be ready to rock and the Bengals from a Ross perspective just weren't.
02:00So we'll see how things go for them in this game today.
02:03But I think certainly you're looking at Joe Burrow as a guy who can get you into those
02:06fantasy finals in a week from now.
02:08All right, let's hope fingers crossed.
02:11Let's move on now to the part here where I'm most intrigued.
02:14I'm actually ready to push the button on a nice wager waiting to hear from Joey P.
02:19James Cook.
02:20I mean, every single week, every time, if you're lucky enough to watch this football
02:25team play, James Cook is doing something that is either fantasy relevant or wagering beneficial.
02:31James Cook today against New England, you had mentioned before the show, and I laugh
02:34at New England doesn't tackle.
02:35Well, that's a big part of football, Joe.
02:37So pick it up from there.
02:38What's going to happen?
02:39It is.
02:40The Patriots are 29th in the NFL in DVOA versus the run, but they're not good.
02:44They don't tackle.
02:45It's going to be cold.
02:46James Cook coming off two of the last three games going over 100 yards.
02:51I know it was a dud in between with the Rams, but that game became a really weird shootout.
02:55So there is a little up and down here from James Cook.
02:58But if you're looking at the game script for today, it looks really good for James Cook.
03:04Not just the matchup I talked about in the Patriots, the other side of the football who
03:07struggle against the run, but also you imagine the Buffalo Bills are in control of this game.
03:12And if you are, you're running the football and you're running James Cook and you're trying
03:14to get out of here with a W and get Josh Allen to the next week here, more important
03:18games.
03:19So they play the Patriots twice here.
03:22It's like it is brutal enough away to end the season here for the Patriots fans.
03:25You got to play the Bills a couple of times.
03:27It was absolutely horrible.
03:28But James Cook has opportunity today.
03:30You're seeing mostly in the mid sixties, whereas rushing prop, I think you go way over that.
03:34I think you could get to a hundred.
03:36So this is an interesting ladder bet.
03:37We'll talk about that more in the second half of the show today, but Cook is in a really
03:40good position here today.
03:41Again, game script going his way, matchup going his way, everything going his way, certainly
03:46everything for the Buffalo Bills going their way after last week.
03:50So let me ask you quickly, can I, I can ladder cook.
03:52I can anytime touchdown cook.
03:53Can I, can I add something like Allen 200 or more yards through the air to really boost
03:58the odds for me?
03:59See, that's dangerous because you know, the, the Allen mark will be a pretty high one.
04:03So if the, if you're writing the game script, you know, that means there's challenge in
04:06there from Drake May and the Patriots.
04:08Now Drake May has done a pretty good job.
04:10He just doesn't have a lot to work with.
04:12So I just don't know if they can keep pace the way say a Matthew Stafford with a Puka
04:15Nakua can keep pace, you know, or a Jared Goff without Monrose and Brown can, if Drake
04:19May doesn't have those guys to keep pace with Josh Allen.
04:22So if you're going to stick with cook, get that tunnel vision for cook and just write
04:26that script instead.
