00:22The large number of lanterns here are made by lantern makers
00:26who belong to several generations of family members.
00:30For Edmar David, the lantern maker of Barangay San Nicolás,
00:34he owes to his father his ability in making giant lanterns.
00:39David's beautiful lantern was recognized as the best lantern in the festival this year.
00:45As a champion, I owe it to him.
00:47Because when he was doing it, he was teaching me.
00:51Now, I'm just returning what I learned from him.

00:57David promises to pass on the Giant Lantern Making Tradition to the next generation.
