00:00Task Force Canaon led by Office of Civil Defense Western Visayas Director Raul Fernandez has ordered mandatory evacuations for residents within a 6 km extended danger zone around Mount Canaon due to rising volcanic activity.
00:16Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or PHIVOX reports ash emissions, low frequency earthquakes, and ground deformation with a possible escalation to alert Level 4.
00:29Local government units are activating contingency plans while health officials address risks in evacuation centers.
00:37Meanwhile, OCD Central Visayas Director Joel Aristain advised evacuees to remain in evacuation centers for their safety.
00:59I urge our countrymen to stay in evacuation centers and not to go home. They are being allowed to enter within a 6 km radius.
