00:00A makeshift memorial for the victims of the attack on a Christmas market in the German
00:05city of Magdeburg continued to grow on Monday as mourners added tributes and flowers near
00:11the scene of the incident.
00:13The tributes come after at least five people were killed when a man drove into a Christmas
00:18market teeming with holiday shoppers in Magdeburg on Friday.
00:23Prosecutors say the number of injured has risen to as many as 235 as more people have
00:29reported to hospitals and doctors.
00:32At St. John's Church, not far from the Christmas market, people laid flowers and candles to
00:38remember the dead.
00:39Meanwhile, the market area reopened on Sunday and residents walked slowly amid the shuttered
00:45food, drink and craft stands.
00:48The violence has shocked all of Germany, prompting several other German towns to cancel their
00:53weekend Christmas markets as a precaution.
