00:00Hi, Dan Greave here, head professional at Woburn Golf Club, and this is a nice drill
00:08for you to help you improve your contacts on the chip and runs.
00:11One of the most common faults with a chip and run shot is that the player will tend
00:15to back off onto the back foot and attempt to try and help the ball into the air.
00:18That makes the low point of the swing too far behind the ball, leading to fat and thin
00:22shots.
00:23So, something that you can have a go at in practice is you set up as normal and then
00:28pull your left foot forward a bit and bring your right foot right the way back here, so
00:31you're right on the toe here.
00:34And what you'll find is all of your weight now is on the left side, and then your goal
00:38is to make sure that you stay in this position as you hit the shot, and you just get some
00:42nice solid strikes and start to get that feeling of how that weight stays left as you chip.
