00:07Donald Trump, who will appoint him once he's in office,
00:09has also voiced concerns about vaccine mandates for kids entering school.
00:13So what will this mean for the health of the nation?
00:15Well, doctors are now weighing in, and the prognosis isn't good.
00:19Professor of Preventative Medicine, Dr. William Schaffner,
00:22says that eventuality would be a worst-case scenario, telling HuffPost,
00:26you would have a circumstance where there would be continuing outbreaks
00:28of these currently bygone infectious diseases once again.
00:32Those include illnesses most have never seen in modern day, like diphtheria or polio,
00:36the latter of which is already on the rise in Palestine, due to Israel's continued war.
00:41With Dr. Schaffner adding, so this is something we need to protect,
00:44because these illnesses are still out in the world,
00:47and these germs don't require passports to come back into this country.
00:50He goes on to warn that it won't happen overnight,
00:52but it will come eventually as fewer and fewer children are vaccinated.
00:56Experts also warn that with the vaccine requirements gone,
00:59only those who can afford to pay for them out of pocket will get them,
01:02creating an even greater class disparity in the U.S.
