00:00This film basically is about, there is somebody for everybody in this world.
00:22I mean, if it does not work out with one relationship, okay, that does not mean that you're going
00:26to live the rest of your life without anybody.
00:29There is somebody there waiting for you at some point, and things will work out for you.
00:34Mera character ek aisi ladki ka hai, jo aaj ki ladki ka character I'm playing.
00:40That she wants to work, she wants to stand up on her own feet, wo khud kamana chahati
00:45hai, jaise ki aaj kal hum sab ladkiya jo, humare age group ki hai.
00:50Hum log chahate ki hum log khud kaam kare aur jaldi shadi bhi nahi karna chahate because
00:55we feel that we should do something on our own, so that we prove to ourselves that we
01:00are worth something.
01:02Toh mera character bhi aisa hi hai, ki she wants to also get married at the same time.
01:07Aisa bhi nahi ki she doesn't want to get married, but she also wants to work, she wants to have
01:11a career of her own, and when she falls in love, she doesn't even realize that the person
01:19who she's fallen in love with, she's not marrying, she's marrying somebody else.
01:23This film is not about, this is the hero, and that is the villain, and this is, you
01:27know, these are character artists.
01:29Everybody is playing their part, everybody is a character artist in this film.
01:33There's no preference given to Salman Khan or Jackie Shroff, you know, there's nothing
01:38like that, Rani Mukerji, anybody.
01:40Everybody is, it's like, basically when you're at home, okay, you may be a big star outside,
01:46but when you come home, there's prominence to everybody.
01:50You know, your mother, your father, your sister, everybody's equal.
01:54So that is what we've tried to basically convey in this movie, that the family is there.
01:59It is not a remake, it is a straight story.
02:02It is like, it's just like happens every day, everywhere, in your neighborhood.
02:10It resembles, it has the identification.
02:12Murali, as far as Indian emotions are concerned, he's one of the best directors that we have.
02:18Jo unke paas, jo Indian emotion ki pakad hai, I don't think anybody has got that.
02:22He's brilliant with them, you saw Bandhan, and there's Anari.
02:27And for him, this film was a great challenge, because it's a modern film.
02:32It's not a, like, dehati, gaon ka film.
02:35It's a very modern film, and in that film, he's got out so much of emotion, and so much
02:38of happiness, and joy, and so much of positivity in this film.
02:45It's unreal.
02:46Murali ji bahut hi ache director hai, he's very sweet-natured.
02:50Unko language thoda se problem hai, because he doesn't know how to speak Hindi.
02:55But the way he directs a Hindi film, it's like amazing.
02:59Because I feel that if you don't have command over the language, it's very difficult to
03:02do an entire film.
03:04Kyuki Hindi picture karne ke liye wo language strong honi chahiye.
03:08But Murali ji has proved that without knowing the language so well, he can really direct
03:13a very good film.
03:14Murali sahab ke saath yeh meri doosri picture hai, pehli Bandhan, Bandhan ke baad yeh.
03:21Aur yeh same thi, mein Narendra Bajaj sahab, Shyam Bajaj ji, meri purani mitra bhi aur
03:26do pictures mein kaam kiya hoon.
03:27It was very good to work with, so was Jackie dada, so was Manish, so was she, and so was
03:33Rani.
03:34They were all great.
03:35Anyway, even Shakti Kapoor was brilliant.
03:37Oh yes, yes.
03:38We were all like a family.
03:39And we're sad that it's over now.
03:42Jackie, fantastic, fantastic.
03:45Pooja Batra is very good.
03:47Kashmira Shah, who's playing my sister in the movie, is brilliant.
03:50Manish is a highlight.
03:51Everybody, as far as performance is concerned, everybody is good in the film.
03:55Shakti Kapoor.
03:56We had such a good time making this film that nobody was acting.
03:59Kisi ne koi performance, you know how people try to overshadow, so ki yeh meri lines hai,
04:04yeh meri lighting hai, mera facing hai.
04:06No one was doing that.
04:07The atmosphere itself was like a family there.
04:11And everybody's playing their roles, you know.
04:13And because we all liked each other, so it comes across on screen.
04:17Music toh bahut hi acha hai, jaise aap log sab sun rahe hain abhi.
04:21And personally, mujhe is film ka poora album bahut acha lagta hai.
04:26If you take the title song, Kahi Pyar Na Ho Ja, it's very melodious.
04:30Then there's Savaria, Oh Savaria, which is a stage song.
04:33That's also a lot of fun.
04:35And the best part about that song was ki humne wo gaana ek din me kiya.
04:39It was more fun because rehersal kiya tha ek saath.
04:42And it's great fun because we all are there.
04:44Hum log sab ek saath uss gaane mein hai.
04:46This guy is a musician in the film.
04:48And so he goes for weddings and he sings at weddings and parties and stuff like that.
04:56So out here he's kept a small function for children.
04:59And it's a flashback song to show that how their lives used to be so happy and everybody used to be together.
05:07And now that one person is not going to be there in their lives and is going to go somewhere else.
05:10So that is one moment that he cherishes of the past.
05:14Every film is a challenge and every film is an experience.
05:18But this film now, what I am doing, it is more of a love story, a family story.
05:25And there is a good comedy into it.
05:29Mostly I think I'm known for much of a commercial film.
05:33This film is entirely youthful and lighter.
05:37Kahiin Pyaar Na Ho Ja is an extension of what friends do for each other.
05:41How they help each other when they want to go and work.
05:44Or if they are in some kind of turmoil or whatever.
05:47Basically it's showing how there is love between these six people.
05:50And which is shown very nicely in this film.
05:53I mean there is family too but they behave like friends too.
05:56There is no tension in the house.
05:58There is no tension in the entire film.
06:01You want to be one of the friends. You want to be one of the family members.
06:04Imagine it's just about six people.
06:07They show how six people live in a neighbourhood.
06:10And how close they are. It's their story.
06:13Salman Khan is a co-star.
06:16He is also an old friend of mine.
06:19I have known him for years.
06:22He is a very close friend of mine.
06:25Rani is there with him. I like her a hell of a lot.
06:29She also I know since a long time.
06:32Pooja Batra ji is very attractive.
06:35She is doing a beautiful role.
06:38She is a crazy girl. I love her a lot.
06:41She wants to be a heroine.
06:44I want to add that our producers were excellent.
06:47Narendra ji and Shyam ji. They were very sweet.
06:50Very cooperative. Very simple.
06:53And absolutely amazing people to work with.
