Were you ever in a situation where despite being right you knew you couldn’t win?
Florence was paying for her coffee when her dress suddenly came undone. A guard offered her his jacket to cover up. And during this distraction, the cashier sipped Florence’s wallet. She was about to leave to fix her dress, then noticed the missing piece. She returned and accused the cashier of robbing her. But he denied taking anything from her. At this moment, the guard asked her why she was so adamant about being hustled if she didn’t see anyone take her things. “Maybe you have something to hide”. The guard suggested smugly. He took the cash Florence paid with and saw that the bills were fake.
He quickly called a cop to deal with her. The man promised to let Florence go. But only if she bribed him.
