Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was very self aware when answering if he wanted to go for two at the end of regulation in the 30-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He's the quarterback, of course he wanted to go for two. He also knows the team had its chances in overtime, including a missed opportunity when he overthrew Troy Franklin for what would have been the game-winning touchdown.

00:00Well, me, I have no decision-making, so I'm trying to go for twos.
00:04But at the end of the day, that's probably not always the wisest decision.
00:08Glad I don't make the decisions for our team cuz I would go off straight emotion
00:13and what I wanna do.
00:14But they thought it out, they processed it.
00:16And in that case, it was better to kick a field goal and play in overtime.
00:20Emotionally, tell me overall, the competitors wants to go for it.
00:27Yeah, I definitely want the ball a chance to win the game.
00:30But we had a chance in overtime to do that, and I missed that one.
00:36So it was a good decision by us, kick the field goal, play for overtime.
00:41We had stopped them enough to feel good about it.
00:45And we thought we could move the ball in overtime, but we didn't.
00:48And so they got the final drive there.
00:52My mindset is, my job is to go out there and score points.
00:56So whatever the coach calls, it's my job to execute.
01:00You play the whole game, you get to these opportunities, and I gotta hit those.
01:05That's what NFL quarterbacks do.
01:06So I'm gonna continue to work till I do hit those.
01:11And not put my team in that position, and I feel like I kinda let them down.
