00:00The Chinese Communist Party is enticing young Taiwanese influencers and aspiring entrepreneurs
00:06to make pro-unification content in Taiwan.
00:09That's according to Ba Zhong, an internet personality who has just released a two-part
00:13documentary detailing China's efforts.
00:17At a press conference in Taipei, debuting the film's second half, he says his feature
00:21will expose how the CCP uses front companies, youth recruitment efforts, and organized crime
00:26to attract young people and launder money.
00:29Also present at the conference was Taiwanese rapper Chen Po-yuan, who warned young people
00:33not to be enticed by business in China.
00:36Also at the release was founder of semiconductor company UMC and frequent CCP critic Robert
01:04Cao.
01:05Cao has been involved in several efforts to boost Taiwan's resilience against China,
01:09though he told me that he was not involved in financing or producing the film.
01:13Ba Zhong says the newest part of the documentary will expose some powerful people in both China
01:17and Taiwan, which may put his life at risk, though he did not provide much more detail,
01:23instead encouraging people to watch the film.
01:26He also reminded the audience that he's happy with his family life and has no intention
01:30of harming himself.
01:32So not to believe such stories if something were to happen to him after the film is released.
