00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. I'm Theo Hewson-Betts and because 2024 is coming to a close
00:05we're spending a bit of time looking back at some of the best things and places that we've been able to visit. The topic of
00:11today's video is activities. So I'm going to take you through some of the best places that I've visited since the summer.
00:16I want to start with Challenge Point, which can be found just up in the Northern Quarter
00:20which is somewhere over here. And you go there and it's sort of set out a bit like a game show.
00:24There are seven or eight different rooms where you can do things from crazy golf challenges to firing Nerf guns. It's really entertaining.
00:31There are laser mazes too. It's a brilliant place to take the family.
00:34There's fun for adults and I can guarantee it'll mean that the kids are quiet on the journey back home because they will be
00:40exhausted. Somewhere I took my own niece and nephew earlier this year was the Hot Wheels Experience, which was a lot of fun.
00:45You had full-sized Hot Wheels cars as well as a bunch of activities that were perfectly designed for keeping people entertained.
00:51You'd also have racing simulators and lots of other great
00:55entertaining design features that were just brilliant. Now the Co-op Live,
00:58I'm not really sure if it fits in here perfectly, but I had to mention going to see Noah Kahn live in concert.
01:04He's been one of my favourite artists for a long time and when I went I was blown away by the quality of the sound
01:10in there. I know it had a bit of a rough start to life here in Manchester,
01:13but it really has secured itself as a must-visit place for whoever it is that you go to see.
01:18The National Football Museum has been in Manchester for a long time,
01:22but it's constantly evolving and constantly changing its offer to make sure that it still serves the people of Manchester and is still of interest.
01:29I went there earlier this year and again,
01:31I just want to ham home how perfect it is for families. A whole bunch of activities and phone games
01:36for kids to do while you learn about the history of a sport that is so
01:40massive to this city. And a fairly new open in Manchester was the Museum of Illusions.
01:44I went there with Sophia Fedechko earlier this year and we had a great time.
01:48It genuinely was really entertaining. You buy a ticket, you can spend as much time as you want in there.
01:52It's a really great way of opening your mind to interpreting things in different ways. We really had a ball.
01:57That's all for now. Happy New Year!
