00:00What I would say, if I had to say anything, just come in here and just enforce discipline.
00:10That's it.
00:11Just be strict.
00:12You know, you'd be a players coach, obviously, for the players, but just come and be strict.
00:17Discipline.
00:18But just with passion and love.
00:20That's it, really.
00:21That's all I'd say.
00:22I would say just knowing that for you individually, that everyone can hold you accountable, knowing
00:26that you're going to do your job and that we can depend on you.
00:28And I feel like that starts with discipline, knowing that if you're disciplined the right
00:31way, or the whole entire team is disciplined the right way, there's just no other choice
00:34but for you to do the right thing every single time.
00:36There's no second guessing or nothing like that.
00:39This is the way we do it.
00:40And it's our style.
00:41And there's no in-between.
00:42And no gray area.
00:43So that's how I would say it.
00:45I think with my time in the league, I've realized, not that that doesn't matter, but I think
00:50it is more important that, obviously, the head coach is the head coach.
00:54I was talking to somebody about it.
00:57It's funny how things work in terms of how you get hired and everything.
01:01If you're really good at sales, you become the manager.
01:04But being a salesman, I don't know if it has any...
01:09It's not the same job as a manager.
01:10Does that make sense?
01:11Yeah.
01:12So with how the league works, usually if you're a good play caller on one side or the other,
01:17you get your opportunity of becoming a head coach.
01:18But the responsibility to the head coach is just so vastly different than from being a
01:23play caller.
01:24There's aspects of having to talk to the whole team, not just to one side of the ball.
01:28Having to reach out to the other aisle and be able to talk their language as well, too.
01:32And being able to work with the special teams coordinator, being able to work with you guys,
01:36being able to be the political figure of the organization.
01:40There's the aspect of having to talk to ownership, the GM.
01:44There's the aspect of then actually having to call the play.
01:47There's a lot to it.
01:48And then game managing.
