00:00Craig and I have decided to no longer be together.
00:06And I know I said I would never cry on the internet,
00:09but, like, it's okay if I cry on the pod.
00:11— Paige DiSorbo and Craig Conover have called it quits
00:14after more than three years of dating.
00:16The Summer House star broke the news
00:18on her and Hannah Berner's Gakley Squad podcast on December 30th,
00:21and shared her candid reflections on their decision to go their separate ways.
00:25— It's very weird.
00:26I wasn't expecting this, obviously, when we first started dating.
00:29Like, you don't think, like, oh, what's gonna happen?
00:32Like, will we get married? Will we not?
00:34You just kind of, like, are in this relationship.
00:37And as you get older, I mean, I started dating Craig when I was 29,
00:43and I'm 32 now, and your 30s, for women, I feel like,
00:47really are very transformative, and you change a lot,
00:50and you grow a lot, and him as well.
00:54— Paige made it clear that the breakup was amicable,
00:56with neither party doing the other wrong.
00:58— This is not a situation where, like,
01:00I have a 50-part series of, like, who the f**k was I dating.
01:04Like, could not be more opposite of that.
01:07I have so much love and respect for Craig.
01:09— The reality star went on to call Craig the best boyfriend she's ever had,
01:12and said she'll continue to be his biggest fan,
01:14but emphasized that breaking up is the right decision for them both,
01:17as they take their lives in different directions.
01:19— I love him.
01:21I think he loves me.
01:22I think we will remain friends.
01:25No one did anything.
01:27It wasn't, like, a bad thing.
01:28I think we both were just being really mature
01:31and saying what we want and what we didn't want.
01:33And I think that's, like, extremely powerful to be able to voice,
01:38like, how you're feeling in real time and what you want for your future.
01:44— Paige also took the time to address rumors about their split,
01:46saying that their Bravo shows played no role in when they announced it.
01:50— In terms of people, like, saying rumors, like,
01:51oh, Paige was told to, like, wait until Southern Charm came out,
01:56or, like, Summer House came out.
01:58No one can tell me what to do.
01:59Like, the network has power, but they don't have that much power.
02:03So, like, that was not a real thing.
02:06Like, rumors of us breaking up months ago, again, also not a real thing.
02:11— Paige clarified that she and Craig were still together
02:13when those split rumors were happening.
02:15But later on, when they ultimately did part ways,
02:18they took a beat before going public with it.
02:20— We both gave each other, like, a little time to deal with it on our own,
02:23in private, like, with our family and friends.
02:26And now, I feel like it is appropriate to, like, be able to tell people.
02:32— Paige and Craig began dating in 2021,
02:34after meeting on the first season of Winter House.
02:36The two were in a long-distance relationship for more than three years,
02:39with Paige based in New York and Craig in Charleston.
02:42In 2023, the pair spoke to Access Hollywood
02:44about how they made things work in separate cities.
02:47— More and more girls are DMing me, saying,
02:49I'm in a long-distance relationship, can you give me any advice?
02:52And I feel like it is kind of becoming more normal that people are in long-distance.
02:57And I don't even consider ourselves in long-distance,
03:00because I see this man every week.
03:02If anything, it's too bad.
03:04— We're really never apart for more than three days.
03:07And I get the same messages from guys and girls being like,
03:12we're in long-distance, because I think with technology now,
03:14and the ease of travel, it's just easier.
03:16It's not like we have to write notes to each other.
03:18And I think I told you on the carpet at BravoCon, like...
03:21— Like, penning and not saying?
03:23— But I told you at BravoCon, like, this is us.
03:25And I think we finally just accepted it.
03:27And we're like, look, you can either, like, you know,
03:29follow us as we are, or, I don't know, accept us or don't.
