00:00The Zamboanga Valiantes is gearing up for two international tournaments in the coming year
00:05following a successful run in the inaugural season of the Asian Tournament.
00:09With international invites pouring in, the Zamboanga-based squad will soon announce the tournaments they will be participating in.
00:16But in the meantime, the team is already in the early stages of preparation for one of their major upcoming competitions.
00:23After narrowly missing out in the early stages of the Asian Tournament,
00:27the Zamboanga Valiantes delivered when it mattered most by clinching the Grand Finals title
00:33with a decisive victory over the Macau Black Bears in front of their home fans last August.
00:38Led by four-time NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins, who missed a few games due to a minor injury,
00:44the team achieved a flawless 5-0 sweep in the final leg, including wins over Nike Aces and Vanta Black Dragons.
00:52Zamboanguenos and former PBA players Rudy Linganay and Mike Bologna played pivotal roles in the Valiantes' successful run,
01:00along with key reserves Denver Cadiz, Job Alcantara, and former UAAP champion Malik Diouf.
