00:25Residents across the U.S. territory lined up for food and gas as the island's power
00:30grid collapsed. Luma Energy, which supplies much of Puerto Rico's electricity, says they
00:35are investigating the cause. Puerto Rico has long faced chronic power outages as its infrastructure
00:41crumbles, especially after it was devastated by Category 4 Hurricane Maria in 2017. Residents
00:48say they have come to expect these types of outages.
00:52We have been dealing with this problem for a couple of months now, but there have been
00:59rumors that what happened today could have happened.
