00:00In the East Avenue Medical Center, 24 people were injured after being shot
00:06as part of a bullet that was cut by a man's hand due to a shot that was fired.
00:11Details are reported by Gavileagas of PTV Manila.
00:17This afternoon, a 14-year-old man was shot in the East Avenue Medical Center
00:23after being shot by a shot that was not fired by the gunmen.
00:27The child's hand was cut and there were wounds on various parts of the body.
00:32His owner also fainted due to the explosion.
00:35According to the EAMC, from December 21 until earlier this afternoon,
00:39there were 24 firecracker-related injuries in the New Year celebrations.
00:45The last victim was a 17-year-old woman who got a scratch on her right eye
00:52due to a five-star shot.
00:54Four people were injured in the New Year celebrations,
00:58while eight were injured earlier this evening.
01:01Among the new victims of the explosion,
01:03the youngest of these was an eight-year-old man
01:06from Montalban, Rizal, who was hit by a five-star shot in his hand
01:10and had to cut his finger.
01:12Another eight-year-old man from Laguna was also shot in the face,
01:16but was released from the hospital.
01:18The EAMC spokesperson, Dr. John Polner, said
01:23that it is possible to recover from tetanus-related infections
01:26if the patient is not immediately taken to the hospital.
