2025 has arrived with revellers around the world celebrating with family, friends, fireworks and fun. In South Australia hundreds of thousands gathered at party precincts packed into pubs. and met in backyards across the state to see off 2024 and welcome the New Year with a bang. Police say despite 72 arrests they were happy with people's behaviour.

00:49Police have praised the behaviour of the majority of revellers, with 72 arrests made overnight,
00:55but three high range drink drivers were caught in the early hours of the morning.
00:59All of those drivers immediately lost their licences on the spot for 12 months and their cars were impounded.
