Clarets head coach Scott Parker has been impressed by the early signs shown by new signing Oliver Sonne and feels he will be able to compete for the right back position with Connor Roberts.

00:00I think it's something the club have been tracking for a while, Oliver, and we bring him in to obviously compete for a position which we're probably a little bit light on.
00:11He's got big quality and potential as well, so still an early stage of development in his game and I feel that we can bring his game on.
00:19But like I said, an attacking full-back, physically very, very good.
00:23I'm really looking forward to working with him from the last three or four days since he's been around.
00:29He seems a very good boy and obviously, like I said, watching him from afar is someone I'm really looking forward to working with.
00:37Like anything, you're signing a player from abroad or someone who's been in the league or in the division, there's elements that you'll have to see how he fits up to that.
00:46But we see a player here that can obviously add to us instantly and bring quality and affect us as a team.
00:53So, yeah, that should be fine.
