00:00A police encounter and two men were caught in Zamboanga City this past New Year's Eve.

00:06Those who were shot by the police were charged with murder.

00:09And we have live news from Efren Mana of GMA Regional TV.

00:17Ivan was wounded by a police intel operative while he was dead.

00:21A most wanted person and his accomplice were arrested for the shooting

00:25this past New Year's Eve in Zamboanga City.

00:28The so-called gunman was caught by the CCTV.

00:33In the capture of the CCTV,

00:34we can see the traffic on the National Highway in Zone 1, Barangay Ayala, Zamboanga City

00:39this past New Year's Eve.

00:42Later, we can see this motorcycle with two vehicles that stopped on the side of the road

00:47where a man was standing.

00:50Suddenly, the man who was standing ran across the road

00:53and fired between the man and the vehicle that got off the motorcycle.

00:58Later, the man's vehicle fell down.

01:01The man sat on the road and ran across the other lane while firing.

01:06While the motorcycle rider moved to the back of a vehicle that stopped while firing.

01:12The man continued to fire at the rider who also ran until it stopped on the side of the road.

01:18In the investigation of the police,

01:20it was found out that a police intel operative was the man who was standing on the road

01:25and that he was the one who carried out the covert duty at Police Station Ayala.

01:29He was identified as Police Senior Master Sergeant Ryan Mariano.

01:33He was hit by a bullet in the chest because of what happened.

01:37Even so, he was in good condition after being hospitalized.

01:41The motorcycle's driver, Alias Kasmir, was killed

01:45and the rider who was identified as Haber Tating was dead on arrival at the hospital.

01:50According to the Zamboanga City Police Office,

01:54the target of their operation was Haber Tating,

01:57the most wanted person related to the murder case in Region 9.

02:01While on arrival, there was a warrant of arrest for the murder case in Zamboanga City and Zamboanga del Norte.

02:08There was an outstanding warrant of arrest for Haber Tating for two counts of murder.

02:14After the incident, we also found the outstanding warrant against Kasmir also for murder.

02:20They cannot deny that their family members are involved in Tating and Kasmir

02:29because they have outstanding warrants.

02:31These are cases involving them in shooting incidents,

02:34not just here in Zamboanga City but in Cebu as well.

02:40The police will continue to ask the public to take care of them against crime.
