00:00The 2nd Joint External Evaluation was completed by the Department of Health on November 29, 2024.
00:08With the assistance of the World Health Organization,
00:11the JEE measures the strength and activity of a country
00:17to find out, discover, and take immediate action to ensure health.
00:23The 2nd JEE of the Philippines
00:26was led by Health Security Experts Dr. Gina Samaan,
00:31WHO Emergency Director for the Western Pacific,
00:34and Dr. Jeffrey Cutter, an independent expert from Singapore.
00:39Observers from other countries also attended the evaluation.
00:43The Philippines is the only country in the 21 countries that participated in the JEE
00:48held in Geneva, Switzerland.
00:50In the past 5 years,
00:52the country has taken action on health problems, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
