00:00Hello everyone, Sue Plunkett here with your first weekend weather watch for Burnley of 2025.
00:07With snow and ice predicted, it looks like it's going to be a pretty cold weekend.
00:13And it certainly is where I am today, which is Rose Hill in Burnley. It's quite high up in the town.
00:20And the wind chill factor, yes, it's very cold.
00:24So let's see what's in store for us.
00:31A three day snow warning has been issued by the Met Office for much of the UK, including Burnley.
00:38Tonight, that's Friday, wintry showers will continue, mixed with clear spells and it will be chilly with more frost.
00:45Tomorrow will be cloudy with wintry showers throughout the day.
00:49Sleet and snow will be heaviest over the hills with a maximum temperature of 4 degrees centigrade.
00:55Sleet and snow could be heavier on Sunday, but it should clear by early Monday morning.
