Bombas' cofounders said they prepared for Shark Tank by rehearsing 200 questions they imagined the Sharks would ask.

00:00So, when we got the initial outreach from Shark Tank, it came via an email, and I think
00:06the email address was like sharktankcasting40321 at gmail.com.
00:11Don't try that specific email at home, though.
00:14So immediately, you know, we looked at each other, we're like, this has to be a scam.
00:18But I think our intrigue had the best of us, so we obviously replied back, and it turns
00:23out it was real, and, you know, we went through the process and figured, you know, the show
00:27was a huge success at the time, and thought if we could get capital and partnership with
00:33one of the sharks, while getting also massive exposure, we kind of thought it was a no-brainer.
00:38So we went through the process and ended up making it all the way to filming, and then
00:43they ended up selecting our episode to air on the season premiere.
00:46You're on national TV, and you look at each other, and you think, you know, you say the
00:49wrong thing, and millions of people are going to see it.
00:51So there's definitely a lot of pressure that comes along with that.
00:54We ended up creating a spreadsheet of 200 of the most commonly asked questions from
00:59watching previous episodes, and we had an answer written out for every single one of
01:03those questions.
01:04So we knew who was going to answer it if each question got asked.
01:07We had also run through scenarios of like, well, what if this shark goes out first, and
01:11then these sharks are remaining.
01:13We had kind of played out every single scenario, so that we went into it as prepared as possible
01:18for almost every outcome, and I think that helped us feel a little bit more confident
01:23going into it, knowing that, you know, we had an answer for almost every question we
01:28knew that they were going to ask us.
