He’s excited to assert his dominance, but when his rival Glomgold also gets invited, Scrooge becomes competitive and worried about being outdone. The McDuck family—along with Launchpad—attends the ball, where they quickly realize that the event is full of shallow displays of wealth and status.
Webby becomes disillusioned with the superficiality of the guests, while Huey, Dewey, and Louie try to impress others by mimicking the elite but soon realize it's pointless. Scrooge and Glomgold engage in a ridiculous rivalry, trying to outshine each other, but their antics backfire.
