00:06that they will be working on this year, 2025.

00:09For the details, here is the report of teammate Paolo Salamatin.

00:16The Philippine Sports Commission is back to work

00:19on their upcoming year

00:21where they will be working on projects and programs

00:24that they plan to finish this year, 2025.

00:28Some of their goals this year

00:30are to improve their infrastructure

00:33including the renovation of their dormitories

00:35at Phil Sports Complex in Pasig City,

00:37renovation of Rizal Baseball Stadium,

00:3912-story multi-purpose facility,

00:42and the built-in 7-story facility

00:45that will serve as the dormitory of the athletes

00:47who are destined to play at Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila.

00:51At the PSC Hour,

00:53PSC Chairman Richard Bachman said

00:55that they are making sure that the projects that were mentioned last year

00:59will be continued this year, 2025.

01:03We started late last year on the facilities.

01:07If you remember, the penthouse and the boxing was torn down

01:12and we're building, we finished the foundation

01:14and we're building a 7-story building.

01:17If you visited PSC lately,

01:20on the baseball, the gallery is being broken down and retrofit.

01:25And then, slowly, we'll be actually,

01:27our partnership with DPWH will be fixing

01:30the dormitories of Phil Sports already.

01:33So we will continue this also for 2025.

01:36Aside from the construction of facilities,

01:39Bachman also wants to ensure the quality of every building

01:44and maintain its integrity

01:46that is expected to last for a long time.

01:49One thing I want to ensure also,

01:52it's hard to lobby for funding

01:55for all these projects and improvements of PSC

01:58that we don't have maintenance programs to maintain all these facilities.

02:04So I'm making sure that PSC employees in charge of all the venues,

02:09that we need a new maintenance program

02:12to maintain all these facilities.

02:14If we do have to get a foreign corporation to teach us,

02:18so be it, we will actually have them come over

02:22and train our local venue managers

02:25to maintain the proper facilities.

02:28Because it's a waste of money that is being spent for the facilities.

02:33Bachman is also part of the local and international competitions

02:37that they will support and carry out this year.

02:40So my first agenda would be the Asian Winter Games.

02:46It's coming next month, Feb 6 to 14.

02:50So we are coordinating with the POC already.

02:52We formed a technical committee that can handle this event.

02:55Richard Lim is in Chef de Mission.

02:58So we are in constant communication with them.

03:01And then we also have the Southeast Asian Games in December.

03:06So we also formed a technical working group

03:09that can handle this event as well.

03:12I've been in constant contact with Sir Tatsusara of FIBB.

03:16So we actually have a meeting with the committee, Jan 10,

03:23to actually plan for already the FIBB.

03:27That's 10 months, I think 9 months or 10 months to go.

03:30And then we also have a lot of, we have gymnastics,

03:35futsal, and weightlifting

03:38that we're still checking if pumasuk sa budget.

03:42For this year.

03:43And then once we find out kung meron o wala,

03:46then PSC will also continue to help the NSA

03:50to ask to get more funding for their event.

03:54Meanwhile, PSC is also planning

03:57on serving the Philippine athletes for 35 years

04:01on January 24.
