00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're taking a look at the 10 Weakest, Most Worthless Pokemon
00:14No One Wants On Their Team.
00:21Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to Mojo
00:25Plays and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:30Magikarp, Pokemon Red and Blue
00:39Now we can understand why some folks even want Magikarp on their team.
00:43Every Pokemon trainer knows about the potential Magikarp has, as it can transform into Gyarados,
00:49one of the most powerful Pokemon you can get in Red and Blue.
00:57But we can't ignore the amount of suffering we have to endure because of how useless Magikarp
01:02is 90% of the time.
01:04How many fishermen have we fought who were loaded up with Magikarp that only knew Splash?
01:09And we all know how useless Tackle is, so what real purpose does Magikarp have outside
01:15of the time investment for Gyarados?
01:17None, that's what.
01:19Unown, Pokemon Gold and Silver
01:25For a Pokemon as eerie and mysterious as Unown, one would think that these little guys would
01:30hold some amount of untold power, right?
01:32You could not be further from the truth, and it is rather upsetting.
01:37Unown is the only Pokemon in the entire series that cannot be taught any other moves, not
01:43through TMs and HMs, not through breeding, not even through tutoring.
01:47The only move it has at its disposal is Hidden Power.
01:52Again, sounds like something that could cause a solid amount of damage, alas no.
01:56Hidden Power is dependent on the type of the user's Pokemon, so its usefulness is very
02:02circumstantial, thus making Unown about as valuable as a Zubat.
02:11Wurmple, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire
02:20Look we have nothing against Wurmple, Wurmple's adorable, and every generation needs its own
02:25adorable Caterpie type, you know?
02:28Sadly, Wurmple is just a waste of a catch unless you're strictly catching it to fill
02:32the Pokedex.
02:34In addition to its awful pool of learnable moves, Wurmple fails in providing a decent
02:39set of stats even for the early game.
02:42If you're that confident in investing for a Dustox or a Beautifly, maybe consider catching
02:46a Wurmple, but if you're beyond the first gym already, it's honestly not worth the
02:51effort.
03:00Chingling, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl
03:03We tried to refrain from putting baby Pokemon on this list, after all these guys are inherently
03:08weaker forms of better Pokemon.
03:11However, Chingling is the worst of the bunch.
03:14Most would quickly point towards the low stats and abysmally weak learn set.
03:18We, on the other hand, take issue in the effort that's required to get it to evolve into
03:22Chimecho.
03:24The only way Chingling evolves is if you get it to the max level of happiness, which means
03:29letting it hold and or use items in battle, teaching it certain moves, use items on it
03:35almost constantly even if it doesn't need it, it's a lot of upkeep just to obtain
03:39a Chimecho, and even then, the evolution doesn't do much to bolster its stats.
03:45Woobat, Pokemon Black and White
03:52Woobats are perhaps the worst of the early game Pokemon, as it blends the two worst things
03:58about Wurmple and Chingling into one creature.
04:01In addition to the poor stats and learn set, Woobat can only evolve when your friendship
04:06with it is at a high enough level, and that's just to get Swoobat.
04:11What's even more frustrating are its passive abilities, Unaware, Klutz, and Simple.
04:16These abilities render stat changes useless to Woobat, while also making Woobat weaker
04:21to a Pokemon's attacks should they alter stats mid-fight.
04:25As for Klutz, Woobat cannot be given any items to hold or use in combat.
04:30That said, what is even the point of this Pokemon then?
04:39Scatterbug, Pokemon X and Y
04:41Oh look, it's another token Caterpie-like for a whole different generation of Pokemon,
04:55and unfortunately, it makes Wurmple look like a god tier Pokemon.
04:59Admittedly, Scatterbug is a little bit like Weedle, with its slightly higher defense compared
05:04to most early game Pokemon, however its stats in HP, special attack, special defense, and
05:10speed are downright pathetic.
05:12On top of that, it can only learn Tackle, String Shot, Bug Bite, and Stun Spore.
05:18We understand the small movepool is only because Scatterbug evolves when reaching level 9 and
05:23Pavilion at level 12, but even for an early game Pokemon, surely, surely Scatterbug could
05:30have better stats and moves than those.
05:38Youngoose, Pokemon Sun and Moon
05:49In all honesty, Youngoose boasts a better attack power than most Pokemon you can get
05:54super early.
05:55It'll be able to make Bite a lethal attack before you can even get it to evolve into
05:59Gumshoos.
06:00The problem is that Youngoose tries a little too hard to be the rogue Pokemon, if you catch
06:05our drift.
06:06While the attack and speed stats are nice, the super low stats in defense and special
06:11defense mean Youngoose can go down pretty easily if the opposing Pokemon boasts the
06:16same amount of speed.
06:18Even when evolved into Gumshoos, the defense stats don't go up super high.
06:23Consider Youngoose a temporary addition to your team, if anything.
06:33Rookidee, Pokemon Sword and Shield
06:36Astonishing how we've gone through the majority of the list without dunking on a single bird-like
06:41Pokemon, huh?
06:42We were considering Pidgey, Spearow, and some others at one point, but of all the bird Pokemon
06:48across each generation, Gen 8 had the worst with Rookidee.
06:53Awful amount of HP, abysmal defense, even worse special stats, and the worst learn set
06:59to suffer through until it evolves at level 18.
07:04Aside from filling out the Pokedex, what reason does anyone have to catch this lump of feathers?
07:09Just to get Corviknight?
07:11Dude, just hang around Hammerlock Hills and catch yourself a Corvisquire.
07:15There's no need for a Rookidee at that point.
07:18Quaxley, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
07:26The value behind Quaxley is purely tied to its potential in evolving into Quaxwell and
07:31Quaquavole as soon as possible.
07:34Frankly, Quaxley doesn't have abysmal stats like most of our other entries, yet why exactly?
07:41Is it the weakest Pokemon of Gen 9?
07:43Well, the learn set isn't exactly the greatest, it's manageable, but still poor.
07:48As for its passive ability, Torrent, well, why does Quaxley have this?
07:53For those who don't know, Torrent boosts the user's attack stat when their HP is
07:58low, and how often is Quaxley on low HP versus straight up dead?
08:03Not often enough.
08:04So do yourself a favor and just try to catch a Quaxwell later, you don't need a Quaxley.
08:14What's the worst Pokemon you've caught?
08:18Did it make our list?
