00:00Okay, so, wow, what a day here down at Frenchham Great Pond for the 12 dips in aid of Charlie's
00:10Promise and my little boy Charlie.
00:13So Sue Wilson organised this, they've been doing this since before Christmas and it was
00:18really important that we all came together today and my goodness me, we all came together.
00:22We had massive support from the community.
00:24Charlie's friends were here as well which was really nice and they braved the waters.
00:29And again, all for Charlie and raising great awareness and funds as well.
00:34I mean, let's talk about funds.
00:36These girls have raised over £3,500, I think we're probably touching £4,000 now, from
00:41something when I first spoke to Sue, she said, it isn't going to make you much money but
00:45my goodness it has and as I say, more importantly than that, it's raised more awareness about
00:50the dangers and impacts of knife crime and people have got to tell the story of Charlie.
00:57And when I promised Charlie, 17 months ago, before we switched off his life support machine
01:02that I would spend my life educating young children, which I'm doing and I've done, I've
01:06already spoken to 7,000 young people, part of that promise was that nobody would ever
01:10forget him and I think today, again, is just proof that that will never ever happen.
01:15Charlie, not just to us as his family, but to a lot of people was too special to forget
01:20and we will never, ever, ever allow Charlie to be forgotten and this is all part of his
01:25legacy but these occasions are hard for me, you know, and for Tara and Eloise who are
01:32here today, seeing everyone coming together, 17 seconds of silence to remember Charlie,
01:37you know, I took a moment earlier looking at the banner and just looking at his face
01:40and got upset because, you know, although it's lovely to have all the support, I really
01:45wish we weren't here and it just highlights how much, again, Charlie is really, really missed.
