00:00I would like to tell you that the Chief Minister is so worried about these incidents that the first meeting he held on 1st January, 2025 was to stop these incidents.
00:22So, the Chief Minister has been continuously giving orders to minimize the number of incidents and to minimize the loss of lives and property.
00:32Because when an incident happens and a person loses their precious life, the whole family gets shattered.
00:40Sometimes, it's the most earning age group.
00:44So, the family has been continuously trying to stop this from happening.
00:48Let me tell you that the total loss of lives in this area is around Rs. 22,000.
00:58Out of the 22,000 lost lives, 411 have been lost in our area as well, if we take a specific case.
01:07So, the family has been responsible for the loss of 411 lives in these incidents.
01:17So, out of the incidents that have happened in the whole area, around 5% have been caused by family buses.
01:25Many efforts have been made to stop this.
01:28I would like to tell you that the buses that travel more than 350 km have a double driver in them.
01:40So, if one driver gets tired or drives at night, then the other driver can handle the steering.
01:48In addition to this, speed control devices have been installed in our buses so that the speed is not more than 80 km.
01:57Sometimes, because of the speed, our roads have improved and expressways have been built.
02:01So, the speed is increased there.
02:04And you must have seen that high speed is the reason for almost one third of accidents.
02:09So, speed control devices have been installed for that.
02:12A new technology has come, AI-based.
02:16What happens in it is that a camera keeps monitoring the driver's activity.
02:21And if the driver is sleepy or for some reason the driver is feeling sleepy, then it immediately rings an alarm.
02:28So that the driver wakes up.
02:30If there is no difference in the movement of the driver, then there is an alarm in the back cabin where the passengers are sitting.
02:39We have installed this in 600 buses.
02:43We know this as an anti-sleep device.
02:46So, we hope that there will be enough reduction in these accidents this year.
