00:00St Giles Shopping Centre is closing this month and businesses have been told to
00:05vacate. Here's what the locals have to say. I was really quite shocked because
00:09you know Elgin's already quite quite small as it is and I think that the
00:15centre closing is really gonna really gonna damage it because you know a lot
00:18of the bigger shops are in there. Be full of shops that should be busy and there
00:22should be people able to go in trade businesses should be able to be
00:24supported jobs should be able to be provided and for Elgin which is the big
00:27centre in the area to see that disappear is a real shame but look at
00:30the state of it. Look at yourself, it is scarlet. I personally you know have a lot
00:38a lot of friends and everything that you know we have a hang out in there and a
00:42lot of the shops that we like are in there but it's the rates, the rates is too
00:46high. That's why a lot of shops are closing down. One of the bigger things that Elgin has to
00:51offer so I think it's a real shame that it's closing and I think it's quite
00:56upsetting.
