Javed Omar, dropped on 19 by Flintoff in the slips, made a painstaking 81 lasting 46 overs, his caution understandable given what was happening around him. Strauss all but saw England to victory. He levelled the scores with a six off left-arm spinner Manjural Islam Rana, whose next delivery bowled him as he tried to slog another boundary for his hundred. A wide four balls later settled the game.
